PXG 0211 irons vs. Ping G25

I know the more direct comparison would be 0211 vs. the I series but G25s have been my favorite Ping irons of the last decade.  Can anyone compare the two?  Unfortunately demoing the 0211s is not an option for me.  Thanks in advance.

I would have to say the 0211 seem a smaller, are pretty forgiving and feel better the the g25. It's been a long time since I've had a g iron though. I did hit the g410, g400 at the range. They just seem so big anymore. 0211 seem like a good tweener iron.

I can take pictures of G15 vs 0211 if you want, but the G is much bigger.  It is not close.

G25 will be larger, I think more durable looks wise over time, 0211 is hollow body and feels better. I played the G25 several years ago and recall decent distance and dispersion. Played 0211 much of the summer, I had the graphite MMT 70 shafts. They flew straight, for me, not the longest irons I’ve had, but excellent distance control.

Just replied on another 0211 thread.  Was going to offload mine but they sure seem to be enjoyed on this board.

I just switched from G25 to 0211 this year.  I still have the Pings for comparison.  My G25 had Nippon NS Pro 950GH stiff shafts and the 0211 have the Elevate 95 (non-Tour) in stiff.

 

The Pings have a wider sole.  Generally speaking, they are easier to hit (e.g. poor strike or crappy lie).  But they are less accurate for me than the 0211.  The 0211 are more precise and feel much better.

 

Both are great clubs.  Pings are more SGI and PXG are more players type clubs, but neither are firmly in those categories.

I have gone back and forth with these two irons for over a year and own both.  The Ping G25's have  a thicker top line and more offset.  As for the heel to toe groove length they are almost identical.  I think what throws people off is they see the thicker topline and the offset so they think the face length and grooves are much wider on G25's but they are not.  I measured the grooves on each and they are very close.  The 0211's topline is pretty thin which makes the iron look very sleek and streamlined and the faces are in fact wide which is very nice to look down on.  The sound with each is really solid and nice.  I hit the 0211's  a touch longer but that is because the loft of the 7 iron for instance is 30 degrees compared to the G25's which is 32 degrees.  As for feel the 0211's feel softer but do they feel much "better" than the G25's....it really depends on what you like.  The G25's are such a nice feeling iron...not harsh.....just so solid.  As for foregiveness the G25's can't be beat by any club as far as I am concerned but the 0211 has tons of foregiveness as well.  The bottom line is I am a 4 handicap and from a scoring perspective for me I have found literally zero difference.  They are both such fun foregiving irons to hit.  What you choose really depends on what you like to see at address.  They are both larger irons but that is what makes them so easy to play.   You can't go wrong with either......
