Cobra Myfly adapter - Hybrid shaft into a 7 wood?

Hi all

 

I've tried a search but can't find the answer

 

I've got an F8 7-8 wood fairway head but it has a ladies flex shaft currently installed. Finding a stiff flex is next to impossible, so I wondered if I could just simply fit a shaft and adapter from an equivalent Cobra rescue / hybrid club if it played at my desired length? I appreciate that the shaft will be a different tip diameter but is the adapter universal?

I have been building clubs for 25+ years and fitting for over a decade. The only adapters I have ever seen for that club are .335. I won't say they never made a .370 adapter for a Cobra wood, but I have never seen or heard of one.

I'm 99% sure no.

 

Dont mix fairway/hybrid shafts and adapters.

I think that my question was probably worded really badly and it didn't actually ask the question which I wanted to.

 

What I wanted to say was can I plug a hybrid shaft (including the fitted adapter) straight in to a F8 fairway wood as is ie as you would change shafts on a driver

Where are you that finding a stiff shaft is "next to impossible"?

 

They are rare but there are .335 hybrid shafts that have been made.  But if you can't find something as common as a stiff wood shaft, I doubt you'll be able to find a .335 hybrid shaft.

The depth of the adapters is different from woods to hybrids. Woods and driver interchangeable but not hybrid without changing the adapter to a wood adapter.
