actually now that I’ve checked,  pressure and elevation are good and only the temperature was off (reading 39C in a 23C room)

 

yardages seem to be approx 15% short of what I would hit outside. Being my first launch monitor / regular use indoors, I’m now reading it could be indoor swing syndrome even though my swing doesn’t “feel” inhibited. I have yet to take the gc3 outside

There have been some concerns about the design of the BLP/GC3 regarding the thermocouple used for the barometer and how it is influenced by the temperature of the electronics within the unit. In general what most people see is that if you leave the unit on more a while the temperature it reads will be significantly higher than ambient temperature.

This happens often after a hour or two with the unit on.  I find at my elevation (1000’) the difference between 75°F and 110°F is about 3-5 yards longer with most clubs. I will manually set it in FSX but it does seem that it might be an issue with extended on course or range work.  I think it would be fantastic if they had a manual option for elevation and temp as most of us have access to that in our pockets anyway.

I left it plugged in most of the winter but would unplug and discharge it every month or so.

Best way to check would obviously be to take it outside and check your swing speed with a few clubs vs indoors.  Should be within a couple miles an hour of each other.  If that’s close and still think it’s reading off make sure the unit isn’t sitting below the ball. Be wary when comparing range ball spin/launch and distance though as it will vary pretty wildly compared to a tour ball.

As far as I know the rumors were June or July before Play works with unlocked BLPs according to someone in this thread.  If you take advantage of the discount for full unlock you may have to wait a little longer but it should be available.

 

edit:  best to check with foresight support as they will likely give you a better timeline.

I originally had heard that as well although some in the GSPro discord claim that Bushnell is now saying July. I personally haven't bothered talking with Bushnell again to see if they also tell me July now or something else.

If it worked “most of the time” I would think that could indicate a hardware issue with certain units. The fact it’s been months with no resolution is unacceptable. If Uneekor puts the Eye XO on sale when they drop the mini I’m jumping ship. The “free upgrade” to FSX Play lie was the first slap in the face, and a $1k sale less than a year later was a kick in the balls.

Interesting but I have heard that GS Pro and Foresight are working on an official integration. What do we think that could mean for the current work around? My plan right now is to buy the launch pro with basic and use GS Pro but if they are going to lock that down as part of the deal I’d want to buy the GC3 on sale instead. Thoughts?

I'd imagine it's difficult to lock anything down that's already open if you don't update firmware, so you could always wait and see if someone reports a new version ruining compatibility before pulling the trigger yourself.

I'm not saying you didn't hear that, but hard for me to imagine there is any discussion of official integration between these two. They are on different ends of the spectrum in terms of pricing.

I was surprised when I heard it as well as my interpretation was that the companies didn’t necessarily play nice. Totally understand the skepticism as I was skeptical as well but it seemed pretty air tight.

That would be really shocking if true since FS removed the other 3rd party support from the BLP/GC3. On that note, I have no idea if it's even legal for them to sell a product advertising features like that and then just decide to remove them after the fact.

Anybody had a issue where the unit reads a hot fine with all the date but it’s not sent to FsXPro2020. I’m using a USB and never ever had this issue before. I’m on the older firmware.

It’s not in the user manual as an available connection.  Only the WiFi from the device.

I had one last night on usb with FSX play. Not sure but it seemed like the connection was lost for a second.  Second round I played I only got through 8 holes and had to shut it off from the software stuttering so much.  I probably should’ve checked my gpu temps to see if my system was throttling it down from high temps but I haven’t seen it much about 75°C before.

I’m getting the P72 error after I hit a number of shots. I simply reboot to clear it, but it happens every time I hit a certain number of of shots it seems.

 

Is there a way to clear out your shot history for a session so that we do not exhaust the device’s memory?

Just came back from a rage session. 

 

1. Gc3 was showing every shot with R spin. Even if the ball was going left. 

 

2. Had weird p4 error and had to reboot.

Should I get my BLP exchanged?

 

So I had the Bushnell for about 2 weeks now, and I must say that the unit w/ Gold has been a game changer for me.  I had been struggling with implementing a more consistent draw, along with struggling with tendency to have a closed face at impact, and the the club head path information helped tremendously to fix that situation.  Now I'm using the AoA to further improve hitting down on the ball.

 

HOWEVER, one very annoying thing is that the unit randomly doesn't recognize the ball.  It can happen at the beginning of the session after just handful of balls, or it can happen later (say around 20-30 minutes).  It seems to lock in on the ball again after a minute or two, but tends to do it again later.  I just experimented w/ powering it down and turning it back on last night, and I was able to practice for 45 minutes no problem (no it doesn't mean it'll be as effective next time I restart it).

 

What do you guys think?  Is this a hardware issue (therefore I should get it exchanged) or a software issue?  I'm on the latest firmware as the unit already did when I received it two weeks ago.  I'm also using the FSX Pro app on iPad only as I still need to get a compatible laptop.  But the issue above seems to happen regardless of whether I'm using the FSX Pro app or just using the unit alone.

 

Would appreciate any inputs based on your experience w/ the unit.  Thanks!

If no, don’t return it.

I’m guessing somewhere around 200 has me hitting the P72 error.

 

Im not 100% sure it’s not something Im doing wrong either. I really need to find a tutorial on the software. I know there has to be a shortcuts that Im not using. Plus, all of my shots are in the history for each session. It seem like there should be a way to purge those periodically.
