Help finding P6

Did you ever figure out this P6 position?

Curious because this is the same position I have been trying to get to lately.

Shawn Clement has  good analogy of feeling like you are using a battering ram to smash open a door.

Been trying to do this, and it feels like I am taking the butt of club and send it just in front of my right thigh.

Then zipping the clubhead thru impact.

Hope everyone is well.

Trying to find P6, can do it statically but not in motion. Any drills or recommendations welcomed.

Not sure how that feel is much different from pulling on the handle or the dreaded butt of club to a wall. I think the best way is to make a transition move where the P6 position becomes inevitable rather than sought. It’s not the destination you just pass through it.

Still a work in progress. I progress then regress. Hilts1969 touches on some truths in saying it’s merely a position you must pass through. Hard to do at speed.

And I believe I’m still not moving properly as Monte suggested so getting to this position is almost impossible to fake or force.

I've  been trying to do this is as "1" move and keep everything seamless, but it is tough.

It kind of feel likes 2 moves stitched together.

But I hope w/ repetition everything blends together at some point and its just 1 fluid swing.

I realize now, I have been coming over plane for a long time, and also been too steep.  But trying to reverse years of steepness is hard to overcome.

However been monitoring club position in mirror and getting to P6 seems give me that shallow approach I need.

Shawn Clement uses battering ram analogy to nail the point.

I've found that I need supple wrists and "lag pressure" into my right hand (that keeps my right wrist bent) in order to get there. Trying to achieve it in slow motion is nearly impossible for me, because you aren't able to feel that pressure (you're feeling the weight of the clubhead being pulled down by gravity instead, and have to tense up your right wrist instead in order to hold the angle).

Some may need that who knows but I find that swing thought and look truly hideous.

Working on the P6 issue and find myself often going down the proverbial rabbit hole and continuously working on it to the detriment of other things, I think. I have been obsessing about the face on view of my swing when I know that my pelvis movement is all jacked up and obviously you can’t tell if the pelvis is moving correctly from the face on view. I need to start videoing the swing from both angles at the same time I think to get a better idea. Things that have improved things for me is doing what Monte talks about. Trying to get the hands accelerating earlier in the downswing and also at the same time keeping the shoulders closed as I am transitioning to give the arms time to get into position. I think though that like many teachers say the problems coming into impact are all a result of something that happened further back in the swing. I have also heard that once your hands are past p5.5 you brain cannot process a move fast enough to implement anything down at the ball.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
