Project X LZ 5.5...Regular or Stiff?

Just getting into this thread. I love the PX LZ 5.5, but I guess for reasons noted by Howard, but not understood fully by myself, I find them very finicky esp in my irons but love them in my wedges (8 Iron and 9 Iron in 50 and 58). In my TM P790's, I find the Modus 105 a bit soft, but never tried a hard step, I find the Recoil 95 R too soft, but never tried a hard step, I like my Aerotech i95 R's SSX1 in my PING G400's but a bit soft, and never seem to like the i95's SSX1 in other irons. Not changing the G400's as I feel as I get older (58), they will continue to play better and better for me, and same goes for my PING i25's with Nippon 950GH R (I can overpower these a touch, and thanks to Howard's trick, I put a slightly heavier Modus 105 S 8 and 9 in my U and S i25 PINGS). So back to my P790's, they were stock from factory with TT DG 95 R at D2 and 37.75 raw without grip 5 iron. This was good for me, as TM's measures weird, as they say that the 5 Iron is 38", but now where close to that. Hence the heads I have in my P790's are really heavy to keep the 95 G TT DG at D2. Sooooo, I just put in a PX LZ 5.5 straight in to a 8 iron head at 36.25 grip off and it came to D3! I am hoping that the heavier head makes it play the way I like, as I have had great experiences with the LZ in the 790 head, and don't know why I did not start there in the first place, but I guess I got enamored with 95g as I get older. If it's too stiff, then I will SS them 1X, but am hoping these really heavy P790 heads make the LZ 5.5 play a touch softer.

I just put LZ 6.0s into my T100S. I tried the shaft optimizer 3 different days with I guess 3 different swings and LZ 5.5 was always in the top 2. I saw a great deal on the 6.0s online and pulled a trigger. I did try them in a demo head prior to pulling the trigger. I am coming from AMT Black s300. These are my findings/feelings.

I am currently a 4.5, a decent ball striker, but tend to pick the ball. These shafts make me commit to my swings. Especially with the longer clubs. With my previous AMTs I was able to get away with nursing, here I absolutely cannot. Could be a good thing could be a bad thing. Now since im a picker and my miss is usually 1/2 a groove to a groove low on the face, they feel VERY stiff on those shots. To a point where I miss the old shafts, having said that though they make me commit and really go after the ball, and when I do ball flight is dead straight. Zero movement. Weight does not seem to bother me at all. I did get 4-PW and play 5-PW in my irons so I might soft step a 4 iron shaft and put it into my 5 and see how it feels. If the feel is slightly better (probably wont notice anything) I will soft step them once.
