Lead times for clubs affecting Juniors

Has anyone notice that ordering clubs lately has been a nightmare.

Starting to think it better to order club heads with stock and look at what  shafts  to put them in when the clubs actually come in since they may need a different shaft in 6 months. For a junior long lead lead time is a big issue now.

Also noticed price of decent used clubs are though the roof.  What is everyone else doing?

Used clubs are high because lead times are long. Very similar to new/used cars situation. I did the same thing last fall when I got new irons, bought a set off the rack had them adjusted loft lie, took them to my club builder to put the custom shafts in them.  Wedges as well.  Yes you will pay more, but I couldn't wait the 12+ weeks I was quoted. If I would have waited I might have gotten them around this time from ordering them late fall.

I don't see this changing anytime soon as its been going on for quite a while now.  I plan on ordering new wedges soon just to have them ready for when she needs them again late this summer.

At least with my older daughter we can utilize current clubs and just swap out shafts for the time being. It's nightmare for my 11 year old.   I most likely will just order another set from Flynn and not worry about getting her fit.

I miss the days I could order last years clubs for $200 and buy used shafts for not much. Those were fun times.

I have found some really good deals on Callaway preowned. Like new/ demo clubs at a great price. They run specials all the time

That used to be my go to site if buying callaway.   Otherwise I used  do globalgolf or dallasgolf but haven't found too many deals lately. Almost better to buy new in some cases.
