RE Punish your putter

 

yeah I am currently punishing my brand new Spider and have been for three rounds each of those three rounds I have putted better

I have an Odyssey 2-Ball. I discovered that putters have feelings--they don't like getting punished and they can get jealous, even feel threatened. I wasn't putting well with mine so I put my son's Rife Aussie in my bag right next to my 2-Ball and left them there together almost a whole week. I pulled my son's putter out and went out to play -- just 14 putts on the nine, missing nothing inside 12 feet. I have determined though that I putt better with a mid shaft stick and will get one of those soon.

Well in my obvious search for what should be the best for me, I've traded my Scotty Newport 2.0 for a Futura.. at 1st we hated each other now we kinda like each other. I also have an Odyssey White hot xg #7 that I just picked up and it's just incase Scotty isn't being good to me.. I also have a NC Voodoo putter that I use to putt in the basement... And if none of them are in line, I use a Spalding TP Mills putter that was my wifes grandfathers back in the olden times :rolleyes:

I've added an Odyssey 'Marxman' and it has really helped on longer lag putts. EZ in ...on short ones. I really like it :rolleyes:

I just purchased a Taylor Made Spider and wow. I was using a two ball putter before and thought it was nice. But, I have played two rounds with the spider and what a difference. I love the weighting and the feel. I made two birdies on the front nine today using this putter. Only the second time to use it. I am making great lag putts with it which I never did before with the two ball. This putter is awesome.

Never Comp Z/I Sigma center shaft. I put a GP Players Softie putter grip on this oldie and have been putting better than ever this year. It may not come out again. But here are the "ladies in waiting":
