BGT Stability CARBON - any reviews?

Hard for me to find much information here. Basically have discovered it feels better/softer? And appears to be cheaper.

Anyone use and can compare to the originals?

I believe the Carbon is just the OG shaft rebranded.

I've heard it is different. It is tricky to find an actual comparison though.

The polar was supposed to be different and it wasn’t.  The carbon is the same shaft with a different shaft coupler color is all.  There’s a noticeable difference between the standard stability and the stability tour.  Not a discernible difference between any of the other models to me and I’ve owned them all.

That’s interesting that you haven’t noticed a difference between the carbon and the tours. Their specs have a different flex profile and 23 grams of weight difference. I know the original shaft vs the tour had a different balance point.

I have had my eyes on these for awhile.  Was hoping to find a putter on Ebay that someone is sacrificing with one of these shafts.  I want to know what the tip diameter of .355, .370, or .390 has to do with the shaft and how it might perform.  Thanks.

The tip diameter is to make sure the shaft is installed correctly the .355 will not fit if you have a .390 shaft and a .390 shaft will be loose/not secure on the .355. It's nothing to do with performance it's just buying the right size. You wouldn't buy size 9 shoes if you're size 12

I meant a feel difference is all, not talking about a weight difference specifically.  The old orig stability was heavy, the tour and polar feel like a steel shaft weight wise.  The carbon is closer to the orig stability weight wise.  Feel of the putter head is the same with the carbon, polar and orig stability to me.   The tour shaft made the face and acoustic feel/sound more firm.

I didn't realize the tour was so light actually.  Probably a great option for a heavier putter overall.

Can't help with any comparisons, but I have the carbon and absolutely love it.

  • 4 months later...

I game a spider x with the tour black and love it, but tried an old ping zing someone had shafted with a carbon and thought it was really good as well.  Both did seem to help reduce gear effect to my novice eye.

To me, the tour feels much more traditional, while the stiffness and head weight of the carbon makes me swing in more of a pendulum.  The feel of the carbon reminded me of a Sacks Parente I tried a while back.

I have an old Seemore Nashville series I’m considering restarting with the carbon.  I really like their system, but have always felt like their stock shaft feels flimsy and the putter gears/comes up short if I stray too much from the sweet spot.  Curious if anyone else has tried a Stability with their center shafted putter, and if it made much of a difference?

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
