Classified warning disagreement

I have to disagree with this warning. I did close my previous ad before posting a new ad.  I have been told in the past that it was 24 hrs from the original post date of the previous ad, not from the closing of said ad. 
 

it is what it is, but it seems like certain rules seem to be more strict for some than others.

• Members are entitled to only one listing per 24 hour period. Members must wait 24 hours from the time they close one ad before they are allowed to open another one. Violations will be deleted without warning.
   

Very explicitly stated in the written rules.

Maybe so. But I have done the exact same thing I did this time before (multiple times) and never had an issue.

So basically, you admit to breaking the rules multiple times and now you're upset you were caught?  It's kind of like getting caught speeding when we all do it all the time and now upset for getting a ticket.

 

The rules are very clear but there are more members posting FS ads than there are Mods in the classifieds.  I say be thankful you weren't caught all the other times and had more warnings.

Thats why I check and report if I see something amiss.  Heaven knows I have been dinged enough times.

Not admitting to anything. There was no malicious intent at all. Wasn’t trying to “get away with” anything.

Malicious intent or not, you broke a rule for the classifieds, you were given the appropriate warning. Hopefully you’ve learned from this and it won’t happen again.  
 

Though based on the number of classified warnings you’ve had since 2014 I’m guessing you’ll get more warnings

Necessary? Perhaps not, but, if you'd ever held a moderation role in any kind of on-line venue you'd understand how, after seeing the same prohibited behavior time after time after time, often by the same repeat offenders, a bit of snippiness, snarkiness, sarcasm, pique, what-have-you sometimes sneaks out 😉
