Ive got a Black GTX and have been pretty happy with it. The PureRoll2 on the GTX for some reason feels different from the PureRoll2 in my Spider EX. Could be the weight or the way the head is designed. A noticeably more audible click and feels similar to the first gen in the Spider X. I run my Spider X with 12g weights so the GTX feels similar with the heavy head.

how are you liking that x?  On the fence of getting it off pga superstore.  Any better with the short slant?

I like my Spider X's. Ive got 4 of them, all different (SS, Plumber Neck, Flow and Center). Short Slant you cant go wrong with. I ended up using my GTX a bit more lately since my stroke doesnt call for as much Toe Hang as the SS-X (30* vs 18*). Cant go wrong with any!

Ive had many spiders gamed over the years. All have been with small slant. Thinking about going with face balanced. Anyone experienced this change?

I am the opposite, have used face balanced putters most of my life and have missed putts to the left most of my life.  It wasn't until this winter I started to do more research on putters and realized it is because I am using face balanced.  I had a short stint of a odyssey 1 blade 2 years ago with wicked toe hang and missed right more than left.  Just bought a spider x in short slant and this is coming any day now and will see how that works.

Rolled the GTX Max today and I am really impressed. Thing feels very solid and rolls the ball great. Best feeling mallet since the DJ/JD Spider Tours, imo. Price is steep but don’t know if it is steep enough for me not to grab one and give a whirl.

The latest spiders had a little bit of an unpredictable face for me. 

Others seem to do ok. Might be the wizard, not the wand.

Idk if it’s the same with the GTX, i assume it is, but something about the slant-neck on the Spider GT irked me. The angle of the neck and where the shaft is inserted just looked strange, and it didn’t flow nicely with my stroke. I didn’t notice this issue when testing the Spider X #3. Anyone else feel similar or nah?

Just got this in yesterday and already love it. Probably the only putter I’ve picked up or rolled recently that could have moved me out of the X. Really like the feel of the new insert and the finish. Rolls the ball amazingly well. The new KBS PVD shaft and magnetic HC are winners too. Super pleased all the way around.

I just hit the new spider at my local golf store.  It was very stable and I was hoping putts. I prefer the feel on the AI series.
