Swing help with inconsistent driver

My driver off the tee has been the most inconsistent part of my game this year so im trying to spend some time ironing out the kinks.  I'd love some feedback on what to focus on.  My release and hand/arm position post impact feels very awkward.  I have a feeling this is due to me rotating too much around my body and not finishing with my hands high enough.  Any and all feedback would be appreciated.  I can supply launch monitor data if that would help but I'm not sold on the accuracy of the unit I'm currently using.

1st thing I see is very high tee. I'd try half that high 1st.

SUGGESTION-keep your right arm straighter for longer in your backswing -

I play an 8° driver.  The high tee height helps me hit up on the ball and create a lower spinning launch.  At this point though I'll try anything though so I appreciate the feedback.

Improvements?

 

So I used a shorter tee this time and started this session with a down the line video.  

 

 

 

 

I had no idea I leaned so much.  My posture doesn't look right to me at all. So I spent some time working on address with taller posture which included moving closer to the ball.  I immediately feel like it's easier to maintain my balance through the swing.

 

My strike quality is suffering due to the swing changes however the address position looks more natural.

At the end of the session I took a face on video also in which I was really trying to keep my right arm straight for as long as possible in my backswing. It still feels like I'm coming around my body too much and my right arm seems like it's limiting my follow through post-impact of the ball.  The other things I noticed are my head drops quite a bit in my transition from backswing to forward swing.  Also my grip looks a bit on the weak side and my hands look like they start a bit too far back at address.  

 

Any inputs or suggestions would help a lot and be much appreciated.

Drop your back foot even further back (widening your stance). I had this issue as well and it really messes up your timing and swing path.

 

Foot further back will pretty much force your arm path to be more vertical than horizontal, it may also help you to eliminate your sway on the way back.

Thanks Braxton I'll give it a try my next time out. Any comment on the starting position of my hands or the grip strength of my left hand?

I think it's possible you could push off a little more off the right side to start the downswing. Hogan discusses "active leg" tension in "The Modern Fundamentals Of Golf" and says it is very important. It's not that difficult nor should it hurt any more than doing short hops.

Best think you can do is play with it. Let it go weaker, see what it does for your swing and vice versa.

You think it's too strong in the video?  I was thinking the opposite 😬.  It looks a little weak to me when comparing to pro swing videos.  However turning it any stronger feels very awkward.
