ClubCorp Opportunity - Anthem G&CC or Gainey Ranch

Annual trip to PHX in January, have played most ranging from upper mid tier to high quality during our time out there. Lucky enough next month to have a ClubCorp member joining us so we have Anthem G&CC and Gainey Ranch at our disposal. 
 

Has anyone played either of these, and what is the recommendation? Also, a $$$ would be helpful if known.

That's not even a consideration - Anthem by at least 1000 miles.  

 

The courses our here are crazy expensive...by january who knows - they have dynamic pricing based on demand.  They could be $150 by then.

Agree with the above. Anthem by a million.

Anthem is much better golf course. The only considerations are that it is about 40 miles from airport, which I consider far, and not much around there. Gainey is in the middle of Scottsdale with lots of offerings nearby.  I’d think both would be in similar good condition.

I stay as far away from ClubCorps I can. Poor management and

poor upkeep.

Actually, Anthem and Seville out here are both decent tracks.  Not winning any awards, but I would have no problem spending a friday morning playing either.  Gainey Ranch however........
