Putter - Setup

Hello - Currently playing a blade putter.. regular stroke is a slight arc with the usual miss being a slight push (especially on shorter putts)... and in the market for a new putter:

 

1. Is there anyone else who has the same issue.. slight push on shorter putts and has been able to make setup changes to address it.. ball position, etc..

 

2. For the new putter, I have an opportunity to change the loft and lie angle for free... is there any way to figure out how what to change... other than going for a putter fitting?

1. What's the reason for the miss? Bad alignment but good roll? Bad face angle at impact? Bad stroke? 

 

2. No basically guessing but reason why you miss could maybe have an option or two for spec change.

This is where a lesson/fitting could narrow down and fix both of those issues without just throwing darts at a wall blindly.

I told Club Champion I needed to figure out basics for a custom putter order. They only charged me $50 to determine correct LLL and provided suggestions on head shape, hosel, and alignment. I didn’t have to try a bunch of different putters and it was quick, so I guess that is why they did it for less than half price of a normal fitting. Not sure if they all would do this though

Smaller grip can help bring the face around at impact.

I’ve been trying that in new putters and it does help..
