I'm sure the European picks have been discussed already, but you have to wonder why Henseleit, Ewart Shadoff, Borge, Valenzuela, Delacour, Madsen, Castren, Strom, Meadow, Cowan etc aren't there. They are all ahead of Pedersen and Hedwall on the CME list. Hedwall is 124th. 

 

How good a captain will Pettersen turn out to be?

I think these two picks were a mistake - there were simply better players available. Calls Pettersen's tactics and personality into question......

Who cares about the CME list, how about the Race to Costa del Sol and the girls who actually play in Europe every week on the LET. They get screwed every year by an LPGA'er who doesn't deserve to play in the Junior Solheim Cup.

I haven't really been following the lead up but why was Pedersen picked?

 

She has had only 1 top 10 finish in 20 events in 2023 and that was only 6th in the Saudi event at the beginning of the year.

Just my opinion, but likely her experience over current form.

I think Pettersen has to accept responsibility for this morning.

- better players should have been picked

- there may be some rumbling discontent about her pro-Scandinavian picks

- she doesn't seem to be inspiring the troops.

 

Stacy, on the other hand, is golden so far.

Pettersen probably has that problem when old hands are failing and new talent is awaited to replace them. 
 

Awful course for anyone not on top form in foursomes. One only gets half a game. Big failure coming up this time.

Interesting comments on Lexi.  I've been critical of her, but I thought the US team as a whole looked better than many assumed (at least not disadvantaged), although I'm not really that close to it...

Honestly, I have to disagree with this. Anyone of these girls on both teams can light up a golf course at any moment. Problem is getting that fire lit in the first place, and keeping it going.
