BST Privileges

Hello - I made big mistakes in the past and had my bst privileges revoked.  I freely admit my transgressions.  Is there any chance that BST privileges might be restored after years of lost privileges?  Is there anyone I could discuss my situation with? 

 

Also to members - Has anyone ever had their bst privileges restored?  

 

I'm just humbly looking for a chance to get back into good standing on these forums.  Thanks for any help!

More details:  

 

I freely admit that I was a habitual line stepper when it came to the rules on the bst.  I violated the 30 day relist and the 24 hour wait rules too many times.  I was wrong - I just thought to myself that the worst that could happen would be I would have my ad deleted.  I didn't realize what a headache I was causing the moderators.  Again, I now realize how wrong I was.

 

Eventually, my bst privileges were suspended.  Instead of waiting out my suspension, I tried to create a new account to get a fresh start.  Then, when that one was caught, I tried again.  This is how I landed a permanent ban.  

 

I am now in a situation where I deeply regret those decisions and I just want to participate in the bst again.  I've been suspended/banned for more than 3 years.

 

In all my history on these forums, I never tried to cheat another member or never conducted a bad transaction on the bst.  My feedback and interactions with other members have always been solid.

 

I am committed to staying in good standing on the forums.  I just wonder if there is anyway I could ever get another chance on the bst?

No offence but given that history I wouldn't let you back in. It's one thing to make a mistake or two but what you describe is well beyond that and is total disrespect to the owners/mods.

Thanks for your response.  I actually agree with you.  I probably don't deserve another chance.  I didn't realize what a headache I was causing for the moderators.  

 

Just wondering if anyone has ever been able to get their BST privileges back after a ban?

 

Is there any path back for me?

From reading your two posts that are an attempt at an apology, I'm getting the feeling that you are only sorry cuz you've lost your access to the BST.  No mention of wanting to participate in other forums as  contributing member.  Golfwrx is a lot more than just the BST forum!

 

In my opinion, about the only chance you'll ever have (and that's a big if) is become a contributing member of the site by posting comments (that actually add to the conversation) throughout all the other forums, with no mention of the BST.  No attempts to slip in a comment that could ever be misconstrued as a veiled attempt to be a for sale ad or offer to buy/trade.

 

Then and only then could I see the Mods lifting your ban and it could take years.

Greg! Thank you so much for responding! I really appreciate your time. 
 

I completely agree with your comments and that is exactly what I have made every attempt to do for almost three years! I have been an active contributor to the club tech forum and I’ve regularly enjoyed your photos of tour bags. Kudos and great job btw!

 

I am sorry.  I think my actions on these forums since my bst ban have demonstrated my repentance. If I was only ever interested in the bst, I would not have spent so much time here since the ban. And I can tell you, it’s been a lot of time. Also, I will continue to be a part of these forums even if I never get my privileges back. 
 

You mentioned it might take years. And that is how long I’ve been in this position. Three years. 
 

Again, I will point out that I’m not a business man trying to profit off the bst or rip other members off. I’m just a golf equipment junkie who wants to share my passion with other people like me. The bst is not the only way that I can do that on wrx, but it is a really great way to connect with others.

It's 6 months since your last plea. Just curious but how much stuff are you wanting to sell?

I don't have anything specific to sell, nor do I have anything in mind to purchase. 

 

I'm not a businessman.  I enjoy golf equipment and I like to buy sell and trade.  I'm sorry for my past mistakes and just want to be able to engage on the bst again.  That's all.

I’m just one of several volunteers here and you knowingly violated rules then crossed the line creating another account.  If I were solely responsible for people’s membership and privileges, your ban would be indefinite.  That’s my stance, you wanted to hear from someone and of course I not going comment any further on issue.

I'd say the more you ask the longer it will take.  Not saying you'll get back BST usage again or not.  I don't have any say in what the Mods decide but you need to stop asking and just wait to see where it may go.
