Titleist Tour Model (8802) putter

Got paired up with a fella that had a beauty of an older putter I didn’t know existed. Sure somebody is familiar with this little honey. Got to hit a few putts with it and definitely really liked it. Cool Titleist printed brown/tan leather grip. Very much 8802 style and pre Cameron days apparently. See a few on eBay for some pretty big prices so realistically just another to add to the wish list and dream of finding in a thrift or discount bin. Should have taken pics of his actual putter. These pics are off eBay.

Wow, I just saw a Napa model Cameron apparently requires lottery money to buy so it makes the expensive asking price of these a bargain.

Apart from the price tag I don't see anything remarkable about it as a Napa style putter. I use an 8813 variant which I wouldn't trade...why? because ti works. It has an over hosel heel attachment and a fluted shaft, there is a limit to the development you can do with this pattern. As Stu says, it has the benefit of having 'real estate' for lead tape mods. All good.

I have lived the dream of finding a Titleist Tour Model Heel Shafted per Cameron NAPA putter at a Goodwill. Near perfect condition with original shaft label and wide flat front leather grip.

It stayed in my collection for a few years until after a fews cocktails a friend of mine walked away with it for $250.00. I wish I hadn't sold it. 

Love the simplicity of 8802 / NAPA style putters.

@weakputt cracks me up, you have a 2nd or 3rd generation Ray Cook putter in there....tho, I've come across a couple of comments over the years, that Ray Cook designed/made some or most of the "Old Masters" putters.

I didn’t know that. I’ve had an Old Masters 802 since the 80s that I used when I went to a public course and didn’t want to risk having my 8802 stolen. It’s a great putter.
