Scotty grips

I'm curious about what you guys think about the difference in grips that Scotty Cameron offers. I like the texture or firmer feel of the Pistolero/Pistolini grips but I like the profile of the Matador midsize. The Matador hinders my feel and affects my speed but I love how it fits my hands. What are you guys using on your Scottys? I might try to find the cord grip in black or red to go on my Phantom X 5.5.

I've gone through most of them, my preference goes something along the lines of:

1. Matador Small. I generally like small grips because they give you better feel of the putter. The small matador is larger than a small Pistollini, but is also softer, and most importantly offers more grip. It just feels rock solid in my hands

It's pretty soft, but because it is a Small size, there's just less of it, so it doesn't feel as soft as the medium/large matadors

2. Pistollini Plus (I have it on my CT) - also a great grip, I don't feel like I have quite as much security/grip, but it gives you loads of feel

3. Matador Midsize - I love the feel of it on long putts, but I just have no control with large grips on short putts. Also has that softness and grip of the small matador, but I personally find it a little softer, maybe too soft.

4. Chord grips - they're very small. They feel good and give you good grip, but are the size of small Pistollini's more or less

The Matador large is super mushy, IMO. Way too soft.

I might try a Matador small in red. I am hoping it'll give me a better feeling of being full in my hands but also provide better feel off the putter than the midsize did.

I use the small red on an ultralight Newport setup and I can't recommend it enough. I feel like I'm on automatic on the shorter putts with it

I have a plain old Pingman on mine. Dabbled with the Pistolini and didn't like it.

Would try the Studio Design, but afaik it's discontinued and I don't feel like trying out my luck with getting a pulled grip or risk getting a fake off of eBay.

You can get them from the Custom shop but have to send in your putter.

Good tip, unfortunately I live on the wrong (right) side of the pond, so sending my putter in would be too much of a hassle when the Pingman works so well.

I wonder if there's a BST section for us EU scrubs on the forums?

I basically don't go to the classifieds at all because it's almost exclusively CONUS

I got a medium paddle on one of my customs.  As a guy who like pisto[lero, ini] small size and I really like the paddle so far.  It is thin but it also has the flat spot.  I putt normal handed, but I like to wrap my top hand all the way under so that they club cannot turn left and this flat spot gives me a nice place for my fingers to grip.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
