I got one of these. I was already using the Phantom 7.5 so it was a no brainer for me. I love the plumbers neck. Really helps square the face up and keep the ball on line. I'm putting really well with it.

Same here … easy transition from the 7.5 and like the 7.2 much better.

Had this out for a few rounds now, and can see people saying it's a tad light. Weird though is the swing weight with an 85+ gram Pistolero Plus (plus 3 wraps) is like E2. I popped out the 10's and put in the 15's and it's a beauty now at like E8, think the 20's will make it too heavy at 35" (would only do that if I cut it to 34.50). BTW -- the weights came out easy, did not even have to heat them. As noted, this putter puts an amazing roll on the ball.

My weights were VERY hard to get out. Had to take up to PGA Superstore to have them use their heat gun on it. Took a while to get them out.

I have the 34” and swapped out the 15s with 25s. Ideally, I would want to take another 1/2 inch off of it.

So I finally got my hands on one after missing out on a few shops I know only getting a 33 and 35 inch. Unfortunately I had to pay resale price like a lot of others but found one for a reasonable amount. The market is a little ridiculous here in Thailand. I will say that I really do love it though, and rolled some absolute long bombs with it my second round out. Took a little adjusting to coming from my toulon Las Vegas double bend face balanced I've been gaming prior. I have just a bit of arc in my stroke despite trying to go straight back straight thru as much as possible and this plumbers neck on this 7 shape fits nicely as the slant neck was just a bit too much toe hang for my liking. I changed the grip to a scotty matador grip which is slightly thicker and like the feel of better (saving the limited OEM grip just incase I ever do decide to sell it later down the road but I doubt it). Got some 20g weights also, however I'm gaming the stock 15g weights at the moment and the swing weight is D8. I think I may eventually go for the heavier head weights as I agree it feels a tad bit light but at the moment my distance control has been really good. Lets see after I play some other courses/green speeds. Only sh*tty part is, I agree and believe that this 7.2 shape will be added to the next OEM phantom lineup due next year, usually the limited releases are a precursor of what's to come (Same like the triple black and the new 9 shape). Which means the price/value of these will drop some. Not sure if I like the cherry sight dots or prefer just a line. Overall it was a tough pill price wise to take on the chin but I am very happy with it.

I continue to be really impressed with this putter and the feel off the face with the milling.

Lengthening from 34” to 35” and going with a 135g shaft has made it a great weight for me.

Initially I would’ve preferred a solid line vs. three dots but they’ve grown on me. Not sure what the consensus opinion is.

Same here! I thought I was the only unlucky one.

I really wanted this one since Leftys rarely get any special release love

What shaft did you put in?

After gaming the Jailbreak for a few months I’ve decided to give the 7.2 a roll (had listed for sale but not super motivated). As others have stated it sits very square and I feel like I’m able to hit my line consistently.

Also as others have said, it does seem a little on the light side. Where’s a good source for replacement sole weights?

it's really hard to find actual Scotty weights, as they are always sold out. the best place to try is ebay. that said, I buy all my weights as after market from Amazon. They work fine and are built identically with labeling, rubber o ring etc. the only difference is the scotty weight is a slightly darker shade of silver. weight wise, I found the after market weights to have equal if not even better in many cases tolerances to the scotty oem ones. also just be sure to heat the weight with a blow dryer, as sometimes breaking the locktight seal the first time is a bit hard. the amazon weights come with a tool. be sure to buy the weights for the phantom series.

I went with the all black weights from shaft connect.

https://shaftconnect.com/products/satin-black-head-weights-compatible-with-scotty-cameron-large-thread-putters?_pos=1&_psq=Black+satin+sc&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Little bit of heat on the originals and they came right out.

now to find an aftermarket headcover, any recommendations???
