Modern alternative to SC Studio design 1

I have a Titleist Cameron Studio Design number 1 - which had sat benched for 18 years until I picked it up again a few weeks ago - it still looks and feels great and I’m actually putting better with it than my current gamer. I think the short slant neck and offset really works for me. It’s a bit rusty but I don’t really care about that so long as the putts roll in. So my question is if I wanted a more modern version of the same blade type short slant neck 3/4 offset where would I start to look for one? Not saying I will stray again from this putter but would like to check out alternatives.

Gotta get a custom made but at the same time not many even do this style since it's not very popular at all.

Lajosi KLP4 would be the closest for a reasonable price, a bit wider I think but Kari might have different widths just have the email him and ask.

I have an old Cameron classic and while the shape is replaceable, the feel is not. After buying and selling multiple putters I’m just giving up lol. The older Cameron’s and bettinardi are just so much better (IMO) and it now requires spending 1K plus to get anything that replicates the feel.

The original design was T.P. Mills "One".  As in his 1rst designed model circa 1962 (the year S.C. was born).  S.C. studio design (T.P. Mill tributes) #1.   A heel shafted blade with a flange on back like a large 8802.

 

A modern version might be the Ping ZB line.  I believe the feel of carbon steel is where most the magic comes not sure the material or how they feel.

You nailed it. The feel of these is fantastic and the reason I couldn't go to the ZB. My wife has the no1 in her bag, which hasn't seen the light of day in a long time. I prefer the No. 2 with the line across the back, which appears a few times a year. This line is timeless for me.

One's from mills are some of the best feeling putters I've rolled

That is probably the best idea - I might have a go at the Ping ZB but as others have stated I doubt the feel will be as good and it’s only a half offset. To be honest I’m probably just going to bench the Special Select Newport 2 in the bag and get “the one” back in action. Have tried quite a few over the years but cannot remember putting consistently better with any of the others it’s almost liberating to get my right hand back into the stroke to control distance! May be counter intuitive but this skinny blade seems to do it for me.
