Courses in Boston or Uber close

My wife and I are flying to Boston mid October. We are doing some sight seeing things together, but some things she wants to do, I don't, and vice versa. Of course I want to play golf.  I know I can get on Google and Golf Pass, etc. for a list and reviews, but thought I'd throw it out to some locals and avid golf travelers. What public access courses do you recommend that are within Uber distance from downtown Boston? Not really interested in executive or mediocre muni courses just to be clear. It will be my first and probly only trip to the area. Much appreciated.

Unless you have connections at some of the private clubs like The Country Club, Woodland, Brae Burn, or Charles River, your best bets are probably George Wright in Hyde Park (a muni but a good one) or Granite Links in Quincy.

George Wright. Would strongly suggest utilizing your network and getting on a private course if possible.

I agree, George Wright would be my first choice, then Granite Links.

George Wright is one of my favorite courses and owned by the city of Boston.  You should definitely go there.  Can be tough to get a tee time.   Public can book 4 days in adavance

Agree George wright and granite links. Granite has three 9’s and is usually in great shape.
