Anyone buying clubs in August knows the season is almost over, so that's a weak excuse at best. He just had buyer's remorse doesn't want to pay for it.

 

Please share the buyer's username so they can explain their side of the story and/or we can all block them.

 

 

I agree, it's tough, but it really just takes one bad situation to avoid international deals all together. I had one eBay a while ago and have no plans to ever offer international shipping again. The risk is too high for no additional return.

Basically I was asking for $80 shipped to a US buyer. When i was moving it to Canada for this person I dropped the price to $35 because the shipping was $45. So they paid what anyone else would have. Again, my fault on “the not checking the tracking part” but it was a single club and nothing too expensive. I just don’t want to pay back something that was supposedly done with 2 months ago.

Yes the price listed was $80 shipped (in US). I dropped it to $35 and built the $45 shipping in. Like i said i was not trying to make crazy money off this i just wanted a fellow lefty to put it to use

No apology needed (stating your fault for not checking tracking... the buyer obviously didn't care because they contacted you about the tracking either.  You did nothing wrong).   You went above and beyond.

This one smells like a bad buyer for sure. Canada Post (who delivers anything that gets sent USPS once past the border) leaves a notice card in the mailbox and you get 15 days to pick the item up.

I wouldn't refund the shipping cost, there's no way it made it's way back to you by accident.

I save all my tracking information until my items are delivered and the buyer is satisfied.  Anyone that doesn't is just asking for trouble.  It looks like you fall into the second category.  Saying you didn't "quadruple" check is a pretty extreme statement when you never even checked once.

Why even go there with the OP, he went above and beyond in this sale?

 

Good for you , but I bet about 3% of sellers track shipments of their sales to make sure it delivered and reach out to the buyer to confirm they're happy with their purchase. If you represent everything as it should be in your listings , you don't have to worry about the "not as described" issues.

 

Maybe I've been lucky over the years in the thousands of sales I've had , but I've only dealt with a few numbskulls  and only a handful of pkgs misplaced across the board by all carriers.

Zippy i had checked a week later to make sure it was through and on its way. So…..one check👍
