Anyone know the Difference or seen any difference with the 2023 Z Star and XV over the Previous Generation? I'm playing the Reg Z Star and to me it's longer for me that the XV (Preview gen). I haven't played the 23 XV yet but I'm gonna give it a shot.

I play CSX and sometimes BX.  I'm not long but I'm not a short hitter.  265 carry and can get it out to 300 at times.  Yesterday I found a brand new Z Star XV and put it in the play today for fun.  I hit the first drive 330 lolol.  I knew it as soon as I hit it, that it would be long.  That ball is hot!  It's a little firm around the greens but has great feel off the irons and woods.  Great ball.

Can you name a couple, I've looked at DSG, GG, PGA Superstore, TGW, Budget Golf....they all don't have them

My Academy Sports has the prior gen for $34.99.  I would assume it would be the same online as well.

Not much difference between the 23 vs 21 balls. 
 

the Z-star feels a wee bit softer and spins a hair less on most shots. Pretty much identical.

 

XV went to a 3 piece from 4 piece, this is accomplished through a gradient core. Which may have always existed and is a new marketing term, but is supposed to have different compression in different parts of core. Whether this makes a difference or not hard to tell. The new XV seems a bit softer.

 

I switched to the regular z star just for the added feel on short shots. Distance and flight are about the same. The XV sounds like a canon off the driver when flushed so it certainly feels more powerful, though from track man and course testing I gained no statistically significant distance.
