Need Help With Irons Decision

I am having a decision making disorder.  🙂  I am older now and need distance and forgiveness.  I have hit the T350/T200 irons, the Cobra Forged Tec X and really like them both.  The Cobra had the Recoil shaft that fit me best and I did like its profile.  Titleist had a Recoil 65 shaft but I needed a lighter flex.  Now looking to demo Mizuno Pro 223 and ProtoConcept C07/C05.  I am a ~12 hdcp but have an incurable/untreatable illness with a bad back.  My swing speed is down.  Can't practice and play as often as I would like.  Good ball striker though.  Miss is a small slice.  The 223 may be too much club for me.  Need some help/opinions.

Buy a set of Mizuno irons with Nippon 950GH Neo shafts. The Neo is a stable but smooth feeling shaft which produces high trajectory shots.

Seems like the Cobra would be a good options if you liked it and it fit you best.

Go with the PXG O311 XP's  ( Gen 5 or Gen 6 ) or the PXG XCOR2'S with the MMT Graphite irons. You'll get the distance and forgiveness your looking for as well as a very smooth shaft with great dispersion.

I'd put the Mizuno 225 with the Recoil shaft on your list to demo. Very similar to the Cobra, can't imagine you'd go wrong with either of those two.

Titleist does offer the Recoil 65 in Lite flex which is a good senior flex. If that is the one you demoed and it was a little firm you could always have them soft step the shafts. I suffer with neck and back issues so literally feel your pain. Hope you find a good set.

Depending on how far down your swing has gone, the Mizuno JPX Hot Metal 923 or 923 HL may work for you.  I'm an old dude, 71, 14 hi, 7 iron swing speed in the 75-80 range depending on how the back feels on any given day.  The 923 HLs have more more conventional lofts and have given me some height back on my shots.
