Diamana D+/D-Limited users, what did you move on to?

I've been playing a Diamana D+ 70 TX, but can't help but wonder if there are other (newer) shafts to tinker with. I've tried the Tensei Pro White 1k (lost it left and right) and the Ventus TR Blue 7x tipped an inch (didn't turn over for my draw as easily). Are there any other shafts that are in a similar category? (And yes, I know that the D+ is probably a great fit for me and there's nothing to gain, but I just want something to look forward to testing.)

I’d follow the Cat’s lead and try the VF… have you tried any of the new Diamana whiteboard profiles? Mitsubishi has a cool shaft selector on their website now. Gives a little insight on how their profiles compare to each other. TPT stuff is worth a look too. I loved the d+ and would still game it. I couldn’t get into any of the ventus stuff personally

I have the same issues with Ventus, I know it should work since it fits such a wide range of players but I couldn't find a profile that I liked for the driver. Those are some fun suggestions, haven't yet tried the AD VF, newer Whiteboard, or TPT. I guess the newer TPT should be less prone to snapping?

Yes, TPT has fixed the snapping issue. I really liked the original red profile, would still be playing it if I wasn’t in a Ping head. The balance point was very low so it just swingweighted really heavy

ALSO- Mitsubishi is remaking the original whiteboard sometime in the next few months… check Cam Champs most recent WITB. That will be worth a test

I'm super curious about that shaft, I hope it plays as good as it looks!

VF and Diamana WS are worth a look.  WS is supposed to be the modern remake of the D+ with the dialead pitch fiber plus other different materials.

Funny, I just moved into a D+ in my driver. I don't think anything will replace the Tensei Pro White(s) in my fairways (famous last words) but I've been tinkering with driver shafts intensely for the last six months. Played four different versions of Ventus and couldn't get remotely comfortable with any of them, though I do think Velocore is legit. Liked the UB well enough, and I did like the PD quite a bit but the 50 gram variant in stiff only comes in at 53 grams which is a bit too light.

The 60-S D+ weighs in at 61 grams which is just about perfect for me. I tipped it 1/2" to tighten it up just a hair. I'm a long time Diamana fan (hence why I also liked the PD). The 1K Pro White, PD in a 50-X, and yes, the VF are the only others I'm willing to monkey with at the moment. Again, famous last words... 😄

I tried the PD 70 TX and just could not get the thing to load lol, makes sense that the PD in a lighter weight class plays well!

A 70 TX sounds like a monster of a shaft! Most say it plays a bit stiff to flex, which is probably accurate. I found it very enjoyable to play with. If mine had been long enough to tip some and I had added some weight to the head, even at 53 grams it may have been perfectly playable for me. Of all the shafts I tried over the last six months that was my favorite. D+/- (I've also hit the D- over a few rounds) are both so darn solid though.

I buy almost all my stuff from ProClubs here in Phoenix so it's mostly second hand, though they do have plenty of shafts that are uncut. They have a 14 day return/exchange deal on used gear where all you pay is a 10% restocking fee. I do my own club work too so if a shaft doesn't have the right tip I buy a new one from them for $15 and off I go. It's what makes feeding my tinkering obsession as plausible as it is.  Whether that's a good thing or not is debatable...

I'd prefer not to think about what I've spent in restocking fees, tips and grips this year. 😂

I had that for a minute when it was first released.  It CPM's out in the mid 280's untipped and is a beast of a shaft.  I could load it just fine, but it really came alive when I swung outta my shoes.  I'm not taking the range swing out to the course, lol.

I played OG whiteboards for a while and am currently in an Evenflow Black. White and Blue both don’t work for me but I am happy with the Black. That said I’m in a 6.5 and it’s one of those “soft X” shafts, so if you’re in TX there might not be one stiff enough for you.

New Ping Tour shafts are also something to consider, and they get plenty firm. I’m in a normal S in my g430 hybrid and it doesn’t feel loose or whippy or soft compared to various X shafts in other clubs.

Kai’li white 60tx but I’ve been testing a VF 6tx. VF is something to look at and so far in my testing I really like. It’ll be hard for it to get the spot over my Kai’li but I’ll keep testing over the winter. The VF is a really smooth feeling shaft that’s obviously Tiger is using which is a huge co-sign

How does the VF TX play compare to a D+/D-limited tx? It seems like that you can drop a flex in the VF because it's stable, but I don't know if that means that the VF is stiffer/boardier or not.

Also thanks to everyone for their replies! I picked up more than a few ideas and combos I'd like to test...

Dropping a flex is subjective to each person and a feel they like. It’s been a while since I played the d+ limited but the VF reminds me of the older whiteboard. Super stable but the handle is a little more active. I’d say the VF is stiffer in the middle/tip over the limited. The VF would be a good transition and I really love the feel. Who know what will be my gamer next year as the Kai’li is a shaft I really love but the VF is in the game.

I had the VF-7TX for a minute and it's even smoother than the D+/D limited, IMO.  I'd say launch/spin are very similar.  Honestly, I wouldn't drop a flex as GD shafts tend to play softer.  If you have the speed for TX which is 110+ according to GD's site, then I'd recommend going with it over the X.  There's another member here that has the VF in X flex in both driver and 3 metal that posted his spin numbers and said that he could've tipped it more to bring the spin down.
