vice pro soft vs pro v1 x

10 hdcp / 85 mph ss .Played the vice vs the pro v1 x  fro the first time today.Only difference  I noted was softer feel .Flight ; spin  and roll all about the same. Durability seemed good as well .First DTC ball I have ever tried.

 

Have you played this ball ; any thoughts ??

I been in same boat except vice pro plus vs prov1x .....biggest difference is spin into and around greens.....so for that reason,  I'm playing prov1x

Play the Vice Pro and Vice Pro Soft for years. Not found I ball I like that's any better.

 

SS is 87 and 9 cap.

My swing speed is probably in the low 80s, but I have found the Vice Pro and Pro Plus perform exceptionally well for me. I am torn as to which to finally make my gamer. If you look at the ball test they are practically interchangeable with the Pro Plus being a little longer off the driver while the Pro is longer off the mid-iron by about the same margin.

Either makes no difference to my game. I'll play either one.  I hit a very high ball off every club from driver to SW.  

 

I just got fit into a Cobra Dark Speed at 9* and Hazardous Black low spin shaft.

On course, about the only difference I can tell is "feel", with the Pro being ever so slightly softer than the Pro Plus.

I'm getting more distance off the tee and long fairway woods from the Pro Plus vs the Pro, but much more backspin from the Pro. I've used the Pro probably 15 of my last 20 rounds this year, and the Plus the other 5

 

The Pro Soft - I've not used enough to give a fair opinion. 

 

I've never been on the Pro V1 or V1x bandwagon. I've hit them a bit, but didn't really get the buzz and wasn't really WOWED by them. And (probably) just out of sheer stubborness on paying THAT much for a ball, and quite frankly, how "that's what the cool guys hit," I've always looked outside the box for balls and founf the Vice seems to fit me for where I'm at right now.

 

For me, based on my play and my experience, the Vice Pro and Pro Plus is the best bag for the buck. I'll find a Pro V1 on the course that looks pristine and give it away. Something about my game and that ball never matched up right...kinda like me and this girl I once knew......🤣

I heard a while back and unsure if true, that vice bought old ball patents when they expired, or basically its just an older version of prov1/prov1x. They definitely are very very similar.

The Urathane Vice balls are made by Foremost.  Foremost probably owns all the patents - or they use open source moulds, etc.  If there was anything proprietary about Vice balls - it'd be plastered all over their website.  

 

Not sure that"buying expired patents" would be a good strategy in this sector.  The patent holder let them expire and did not re-new them for good reasons, most likely.
