Up and down make rate % goals: what to shoot for?

Let's assume that you want to get to scratch: what's a reasonably good up and down make rate %? I know; it really depends. Larger greens will mean more GIR and longer up and downs. That's where I play mostly: we have mostly very large greens and a good round for me is 60% GIR.  My up and down % during the normal season with consistent greens is around 40%.

 

For me, I'm always trying to get within 10 feet minimum when I'm say 30 yards from the hole. This is playing from the tips with our 210 yard+ par 3s, so being 30 yards off is sometimes part of the game. I've got a fair number of 150-180 yard approaches, especially if the wind is up and that 430 yard par 4 is now playing 480.

 

I figure from 10 feet, I have a roughly 30% chance of making the putt, but if I can get within 6 feet, the putting accuracy goes way up. This is an area of big potential improvement in my game, along with getting rid of my early extension by getting my spine more adapted to rotation. 

 

I'd love to see numbers for a scratch from say 

15 yards, 20 yards, 25 yards, 30 yards. It will give me something to practice towards.

Per what Arccos tells me for a 0 HCP. Hope this helps.

 

Inside 25 yards: Avg distance to pin 12 feet and up+down is 57%. Missed green 4%

25 - 50  yards: Avg distance to pin 20 feet and up+down is 35%. Missed green 11%

 

From sand:

Inside 25 yards: Avg distance to pin 17 feet and up+down is 39%. Missed green 11%

25 - 50  yards: Avg distance to pin 24 feet and up+down is 27%. Missed green 17%

50% is a good overall target.  So much of it depends on where you are having to scramble from that you cant  say if i hit X% you great and if you dont you suck at scrambling.
