Recommended Booking Agents for Scotland

Greetings! I've been reading this page for a bit as I've just started planning for a trip to Scotland in October 2025. Despite my interest in booking the golf myself, the others in my group prefer to use a booking agent for peace of mind and less stress. So, for those that have used them, which do you recommend?

 

Our trip is not solely golf as my father, brother, and I are going with our spouses so there will be other activities involved. But we do plan to play 6 rounds over 9 days in East Lothian (2 rds) and St. Andrews (4 rds) in early-mid October. North Berwick and Gullane(??) were what I was thinking for East Lothian and TOC, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, and Crail or New while staying in St. Andrews. 

 

Given we plan to do other activities, the thinking is it would be best to use a booking agent so they can potentially find times that allow us to golf and site-see the same day. So, any booking agents that come recommended?

Are you planning to try The Old Course drawing this summer? Other than a guaranteed time on The Old Course it sounds like you just need a “booking agent” for tee times which would be a huge waste of money.  If you want to pay the high premium for a guaranteed round on The Old Course some booking companies will have spots for sure and that’s the way to go. Otherwise, tee times are easy to arrange.

Hawkeye77 is right. Unless you want a guaranteed tee time at TOC, you can book all the tee times yourself through each courses site. Especially this far in advance.

We are also going in October 2025 but there are only two of us.   We are a 2 hcp and a 5 hcp.  Send me a DM if you want to combine golfers because some places are difficult to get a tee time with only a 2 ball.

Just got back from a week-long trip for a friend's 40th. He used Grasshopper for our group of 8 and the trip was excellent. Collin was our driver and we played:

 

Turnberry (Ailsa and 9-hole course)

Troon

Kingsbarns 2x

Old/New

Carnoustie
