EBay question

How long do you give sellers to ship before notifying EBay? I bought a club with BIN 3 days ago and seller hasn't shipped yet and didn't respond to my question asking when he's going to ship? He doesn't have a lot of feedback to go by, but nothing negative. Not sure but think you can't even get EBay to help until after the last expected arrival date. I know I'm probably just a little impatient but I always ship within 24 hours.

Check the listing for any notes about handling/shipping time. Some people bake in a preset handling time to allow for delays or unexpected circumstances and others note somewhere about expected shipping times. I'll get things from Japan sometimes that take awhile to ship, but they usually include something like a "items will ship with 5 business days" type of note somewhere. If none of those are present in your case then i'd be a little miffed. When a purchase is made midweek then it should go out before the weekend.

My situation is a little different so this might not be a lot of help. I bought an item on 2/17. The seller shipped it on 2/19 with a delivery date of 2/24. On 2/25 tracking stopped moving and the tracking showed the hub it was at and it said delivery will be later than expected. It has not moved since then. I don't know when the option showed up on this transaction because I waited until  2/28 and noticed the option to contact the seller about no delivery. I used the option to contact the seller. It said the seller had 3 days to respond and if they didn't respond a refund would be given. Of course the seller waited three days to respond and all they did was copy and paste what the tracking number said. Now Ebay says I have to wait until the 6th before they will get involved and don't worry my purchase is guaranteed.

 

My point being your purchase may be dragged out before you actually get it resolved.

Go to your eBay purchase history.  You should be able to find the seller’s handling and shipping time.  This time can vary from 1 to 40 business days.   If you haven’t received shipping details by the end of stated shipping/handing time, contact the seller.

Nothing there about seller's shipping time. Just have to wait until after expected delivery date I guess

I'm reading this thread and can 100% see myself being anxious and impatient about getting a golf club in the mail 15-20 years ago.

 

Now I'm reading this thread thinking...it will get here when it gets here. Funny how our perception changes with time.

That is on the carrier, not the seller.  The seller will have to file a report or contact the carrier to ask about the delay.

The carrier that has had the package at the same hub for the last 9 days as of now? I wasn't upset with the seller. Crap happens. It is on the seller though to check on the delay and come up with a solution. Sending me a copy and paste that shows the package as delayed that I already can see myself isn't a solution. When I responded that I could see the package was delayed and that it hasn't moved for 4-5 days at that time they responded that I needed to check on the package and find out what the problem is. As far as I am concerned it is on the seller not the buyer. To top it off I bought it from a seller that was closer to me over other sellers I could have bought from and it ends up it was shipped from a farther away location.

 

At what point do you consider a package delayed to long? I'll wait until the 6th and ask for Ebay for a refund. I don't blame the seller for the late package but I do blame them for not acting concerned about it.
