Interestingly, the Callaway paperwork indicates an order date of 4/30. Based on the information in this thread, TGW may have placed the order hours prior to "figuring it out" due to the idiot who emailed them.

Or.... It was placed on 4/30 because that is the last day of the month and you the idiot for not knowing how many days are in April.

The more likely outcome is that that is the date that they processed the order. I ordered on 5/1, which was after the email because they were in my cart still, like others in this thread.

Mine from 5/1 with a still in cart thing is still in process, but I emailed TGW for a spec change and it took them 2-3 days to acknowledge it so that probably kicked me to the back of the line.

Mine just arrived via FedEx Ground. First scan was in Loredo, TX. 

 

Overall data point:

Ordered on 4/27, label created on 5/3, shipping notification on 5/5, picked up by FedEx on 5/7.

I got my TGW shipping confirmation email last night (label created yesterday as well) for my 5/1 order. I was hoping they would get picked up today so I could get them tomorrow, but seems like it'll be next week.

Just received my AI Smoke TD 7 wood. Can confirm it arrived with a Velocore shaft, but the incorrect one. I ordered it with Black 8X and it arrived with Blue 8X. Trying to decide if I plan to call in and see if I can get it corrected or just live with it and not give myself an opportunity to be charged the correct price.

Just in case anyone else in the thread runs into this issue: I did contact TGW to notify them that the club was built with the incorrect shaft. They returned my message saying that they would correct it, but I would have to pay the upcharge for a Velocore Black 8X, even though that's what I ordered the first time around.

 

I am just going to keep it as is and test it out.

Just look at the build / order sheet in the box. If you got something different than what is on that sheet, it's Callaway's mistake, call them and they'll take 100% care of it.

 

If they order sheet / what you got match and it's not what you ordered, that's on TGW

My experience was the exact opposite but like I said this is only when the mistake is on their end. YMMV

if you didn't buy from Callaway they want nothing to do with you and it's your responsibility to speak to who you gave your $$$ to...you talk to TGW and then they're suppose to talk to Callaway...I've worked in the golf industry before and this is the chain of command when doing business....whatever you think happened in your past scenario just isn't how it's suppose to be done.

Ok cool, my apologies for having a positive experience with them LOL I don't know why you're so triggered about it. They went above and beyond to take care of me across the multiple CSRs I talked to with my 7 wood

I apologize, reading over my comment it does seem aggressive...I'm not triggered but when people post something that's so blatantly wrong it just seems like you're talking out of your head to try to prove a point for some reason, to the point I'm convinced it's fabricated. TGW is the middle man between you and Callaway, that means TGW is the customer not YOU. you use the middle man to complete a transaction and now when something goes wrong the middle man isn't needed? that's 100% you know what. if Callaway built you the wrong shaft or head they need to speak to TGW regardless because that's the account holder and customer not you

Solid way to put people down that applied speculative logic to a possible scenario, I guess im guilty. 

 

Either way I got my order that included the Driver with Black 7x and 3W with Blue 8x both Velocore. Big Thank you to the original thread poster @tippethor who put it out there for us to score, was a great deal on primo equipment regardless of how it happened.

Just fyi.

That is mine. I'm selling it because it arrived with the incorrect shaft and TGW won't correct it without me paying an up charge for the shaft now, as I previously explained in this thread. Am I supposed to keep it forever even though it's not what I wanted?

Okay so still zero movement on my order from 4/23.  TD 3 wood with ventus black 7x.  Do I call TGW or Callaway about the delay or just keep waiting.  Makes me a little concerned because others have received their club with over a week later order dates.  With Tyrick's post about TGW not willing to work with him without an upcharge, I'm concerned about calling TGW.  

 

The status reads "in processing" in the details and the order specs reads "shipping from manufacturer."
