No upcharge Ventus Black

I always fall for these promotions in the hope of finding a magic combo of shaft and head at a discount - took the max 5 and 7 with red 7s in them to the range and hit them so far left it isn’t funny. Will post on BST this weekend to just get what I paid back and cover postage. The search continues.

Right or left handed? Callaway woods are some of the flatest out there at standard so you could just be like me "it's not the club" lol

Right handed - my 3 wood is an epic speed and I hit a nice little fade with that (with a rogue msi white in it). Don’t know if it is the head or the shaft, but I have to feel like I’m holding the face so open taking it away that the only thing I hit straight is very high and spinny. I went with the ventus red because I want to land these to hold greens, but with the way I hit these  the only greens I’ll hit are on neighboring courses to the left (I’ve never hit a lofted wood so far right in my life).

Some things just don't work out. The Max version will surely produce more spin. Good luck on your search.

Ordered 3 and 7 wood, black 8x from a saved cart on 5/2...both arriving tomorrow.

Got mine today. Everything was as ordered and the Black 7S was a real deal Velocore. Looks to be tipped 1" for a 7W stock from Callaway.

@tippethor Thanks for finding it and posting it.  It was quite the deal.  I'll continue to be on the lookout on this thread from now on.  Thanks for everyone's input as well.  I was hoping it was going to happen but oh well.  Win some, lose some.  At least the wife will be happy,  Maybe I can get a putter out of the deal!!!

Dam got the same email. I am most likely going to cancel. Any chance they cant technically do this though? Maybe if I throw a fuss and say a deal is a deal they won't cancel/upcharge?

Well, if the seller in your example refunded you - and paypal saw that - it's case closed and they wouldnt do anything after that.

 

Anyway, you can be as mad about it as you want but it is what it is. Everyone knew they were taking advantage of a mistake. To say that a seller or vendor owes you anything for a mistake is disingenuous. It's "go until you get caught" and everyone knows the rules...well, most.

Even under contract law, rescission is going to be permitted when there is an error in the price. No way TGW is going to bear the risk of the mistake in this circumstance (it doesn't fall into one of the traditional exceptions).  Refunding for the error is within their right to do. That's a little different than "changing your mind" about a sale anyway (unless the error was a missing 0 in the advertisement).

Mine finally shipped after 4/17 label created, then lost by Callaway, then reshipped....delivery was supposed to be yesterday, now tracking shows at delivery to TX.  Haven't gotten the email yet.  In the end it looks like I gave TGW a free loan for 6 weeks.

Delivered BACK to the same place it came from like they did a stop shipment? That would be crazy because what would they do with a custom club?

Look what just showed up.

 

I think I know what happened...my original order was lost waiting to be picked up...TGW reordered.  The reordered 3W was delivered today, the original order was shipped and is being returned to Callaway.

 

Now I have to get the matching TD Max driver.

This has been happening for a few years on TGW - hopefully the nark didn't cause them to review/potentially change some internal processes to prevent this in the future, but I wouldn't be surprised.  Last year it was available on some GD shafts in Titleist woods if I recall.

yes, I did this with a 3 & 5 wood. It was ad-di orange; ad-di black was an upcharge.

I ended up canceling my 4/23 order, no other way around it.   I wonder how yours went through and didn't get stopped or modified after the mistake was discovered??

Forcing the issue, had to get TGW to request that Callaway look into it, they deemed it lost and had it re sent.

 

Lots of calls to Callaway CS, get a good rep and they are extremely competent and helpful
