Utility iron vs hybrid oem build

So I have a T200 utility build with ADDI85s at stock length of 38.75 ordered from directly from Titleist at D1.6 swing weight. Titleist tips 4 irons at a full inch. I also have a TSi2 21 degree hybrid their (4 hybrid) with the same shaft ordered directly from them as well at half inch short so 39.5 length which is also tipped 1 full inch as their standard 4 hybrid tipping. The hybrid is at D1.4 swing weight so very close as it has either a +2 or +4 weight. Now 4 iron feels amazing while the 4 hybrid feels stiff at the tip. I measured total weight and the 4 iron is 9 grams heavier vs the hybrid. Since the 4 iron is 0.75 inches shorter the shaft would actually be lighter so the additional weight is coming from the head. So 1) can 9 grams on the head make the shaft feel that much softer (and better for my liking), would tipping half inch instead of a full inch on the hybrid help with the feel?

Yes, 9 grams can be a lot. Given the swing weights are the same though, it might not be that as much as the tipping. A half inch vs a full inch will help with the feel.

Most of this is relative though, dependant on how sensitive you are to the parts. I think it would be the head design that is creating the difference in feel moreso than the shafts. These 2 heads are marketed towards slightly different players and might be tuned differently to players preferences. I am not sure why that might come out as sounding stiff though.

Thanks, I wanted very similar "feeling" club that plays similar yardage but more versatile, I have it lofted it up and cut to shorter length (still longer than the utility), while it does what I want it to do, the feel is so different. Yes I know the club head design is completely different, but I just would have never thought that the tip stiffness feeling (at least how my feels are) are that different.

Added head weight can change how a club feels and plays. But the shaft profile can affect how the head feels, too. Tipping helps feel, but wouldn't go so far as to say .5 or 1" is noticeable by most people.

Though I don't play hybrids, because of head weight and length, I do not believe it's possible to make a hybrid feel like a utility club or iron head, but you can make SW the same.

I have two T200 heads, old and new heads have the same Tensei AV White Am2 stiff stout shaft at 39.75, D2, yet they feel very different due to different internal head designs.

I have the following.

2022 T200 2i that had Tensei AV white Am2 Stiff, 92g shaft at 39.75, D2

2023 T200 2i with Tensei AV Raw White Hybrid 95 stiff at 39.75, D2, feels entirely different from 2022 T200 2i.

Titleist 718 TMB 2 iron with Tensei AV White Am2 Stiff at 39.75, D1

2022 T200 22' 4i with MMT 95S at 38.50, D2

2023 T100 23' 4i with MMT 95S at 38.50 D2 - it feels entirely different from the 2022 T200 4i above.

Thanks makes sense, I was just hoping the feel throughout the swing would feel similar you know, knowingly heads are obviously different, but ya not even close.
