Wrist tear..... need a wrist wrap

Just one of many injuries lol.... had MRI have torn TFCC in left wrist from hitting a Hybrid w divot lol.... can't do surgery cause area so thin.... said what would Tiger get and laughed me off.

Gave me PT.... doing absolutely nothing. Need a good wrist wrap anyone know a good one?? I have a few already for the gym but they're kinda bulky and want a thin one like Tiger and the pros wear.

K tape might help but let me know what you use and like..... Thanks! 🦆

edit: getting responses about resting so it will heal..... tear happened 6 years ago and took lots of time off golf so just need good wrap so can ramp up practice to knock this rust off and kick friends butts

As I am also known to completely ignore advice from doctors, I like good old hockey tape for wrist problems.

Minor tear in my right wrist (MRI confirmed). Time is your friend. I found that using some athletic tape on the wrist was the easiest and best way. Originally did it using an impact wrench. Taped it for almost everything for about 2 years. Finally built up enough strength around it so I didn't need the tape. Fast forward and I re-injured it a few years ago. Taped it for a couple more years and finally stopped taping it about 3 months ago. Tape was just far easier to deal with. Didn't need a full on PT tape job. A few wraps to stabilize the joint and limit the amount of flexing that could happen.

FWIW, they told me that unless I was a professional athlete, they weren't going to do anything unless I torn it completely. In the States, I'm sure I could've got it done. All it takes is money.

I think we have all golfed through injuries, I'd be careful with this one and let it heal. I've had a bad wrist from over use and just found something in a local pharmacy. I don't know of a golf specific wrap. Academy Sports has a nice section of wraps, tape etc.

Also, a professional person for massages worked best for me.

I injured mine about 10 years back. I would advise from experience to let it heal. Golf with any wrap won't help it, it'll be frustrating as one shot will be fine and the next will hurt to high heel, and the continued damage will just delay and prolong the nevitable. Then again, maybe you are looking for an excuse to not play in 2025.

I took what probably would have healed in 3 months, and turned it into a 15 month ordeal.

Tape and fight through the pain. That's what Tiger would do.

I also fought a wrist injury for the last 18 months and strength training has helped my wrists and elbows significantly. With anything weight related, diligence is key.

Retired MD in month 6 of TFCC tear lead wrist. My orthopod recommended Wrist Widget which can find on Amazon. I’ve used it the past month and find it stabilizes the injury without major effect on the golf. Have to play with it a bit to find optimal tension where it prevents wrist pain/motion vs restricting things. For several weeks I covered the widget with LYYHMA brace for TFCC on Amazon. It’s a nice support but wraps around whole wrist like most braces, and frankly may not be enough by itself to actually reduce symptoms. Anyway, I’ve played some good golf with the Widget and have had no adverse next days, so I vouch for it.

Also recommend wrist widget. Now I just tape the wrist like how the wrist widget works and no issues. I only have a minor TFCC tear in my left wrist. Right when I found out I had it. I stopped playing golf for a few months and wore the worst widget all the time. Fast forward a year, no issues but still tape the wrist.
