Utility/driving iron with no offset?

Are there any long utility or driving iron with no offset in the market currently? I know offset raises trajectory but I just can't get over the look of it at address.

Depends on what you mean by zero offset. If you literally mean 0.0 degrees of offset on a driving iron, I do not know of any available. Frankly, it's pretty hard to find an iron set with 0.0 degrees of offset. The Titleist T200U and TaylorMade PUdi have relatively low offset compared to other driving irons and could be bent weak to reduce the offset further.

From my research the least offset I could find was the Apex UT.  The ping Crossover and Mizuno HiFli have the most and the rest are in between.

Best bet is a probably a p790/p770 or mizuno pro 225/245.

No such thing as they all have a fairly good amount of offset.

 

Best thing to do is get whatever style you like and bend it open.

 

I have a ZX utility in a 3i 20* but needed to gap it as my 4i so bent it to 23*. I cant say it got rid of all of it but definitely looks better than previous.

Easily available with tech like hollow head and tungsten and all that? You'll be hard pressed to find "no" offset. I reckon the engineers put in the offset they do for good reasons.

People don’t like offset, but people who design clubs keep on putting it in.  This tells me that it is a very valuable design element for club performance and most people probably need more of it.

Multiple OEMs offer driving irons with minimal 3-4mm offset, and for 99.8% of the DI users, minimal offset is preferred.  Besides, the huge majority of golfers today have never held, much less hit any club with zero offset.

 

KZI used to offer a ZO 2i blade with negative bounce, and a negligible 1.75 mm offset, not sure if that's still an option.  Better chance finding near zero offset in blade 1–2 irons.  Normally, a 1 iron used to be either 40.25" or 40", and a 2 iron was 39.25".

 

I have been playing 1i or 2i since taking up golf in the 90s.  My 90s Mizuno 1 iron has maybe 2mm offset, and it's 40".  Good players that carry a 2 iron should know, if needed, how to elevate a shot.  Yesterday, due to wind, I raised and lowered 2 iron multiple times. 

 

Unless a person is used to zero or even 2mm offset, handing someone a long iron club with that level of offset to hit would be fun to watch. 

 

Currently, I carry a new T200 17' 2 iron with Fujikura Pro 95i Tour S shaft at 1 iron length 39.75", and happy with the down range results.

 

PS, I just checked my club inventory spec list and found that my custom-built MacGregor 1025M set 19' 2 iron has .100 offset and 39.5" length.

The Arias D-23 2 iron may be exactly what you are looking for, its a midsized cavity back 2 iron with no offset which will be a similar size to many driving irons, its standard loft is 17 degrees but it can easily be bent a few degrees either strong or weak.

I like very small compact irons with very little offset, but true zero offset like the Arias just looks a bit strange. I played the KZG ZO "zero offset" irons for a long time but they are not true zero offset. Great irons btw.

 

Another option is get an original Callaway Apex UW 17* and play the shaft a bit shorter. I have the 19* and play it at 40.25" with a 90 gram shaft. Great tee club and still can hold greens. But the 17* would be an absolute weapon off of the tee, especially with a bit of wind. Might be trying that out in the very near future.

I like the new level nlu-01 utility and i'm not a fan of offset.  I bent mine back to take some offset out and they have been great for me.  You can't bend wide soled utilities back much though, not enough to get to 0 offset for sure.

As someone else stated Callaway Apex UT. I just ordered a 23 degree #4 and it only has 2.0 mm offset (2.3mm #2 & 2.2mm #3).Titleist u500 at 2.2mm was also on the low side.
