Would you pay $20 per entry into a Golfwrx Golf Fantasy League?

If we started a golf league and offered small prizes, like money or headcovers for 1-3 winners...Would you pay a $20 entry fee?

It really depends upon the number of people who join, about the prize pool. Obviously from the past contest we have had, you know the prizes have been fairly good. There are free leagues but, you usually subject your email address to alot of Spam advertisers and you would not have the opportunity to win the potential prizes that we would give away. Cash, shafts, headcovers, maybe even a putter.

I'm not a Fantasy League devotee in any sport, but I always participate when it's with a tight group of people. The friendly ribbing and hetro-camaraderie are half the fun, shoot that's why most people play golf with buddies rather than strangers. :blink: It's also why I don't play golf with my wife (turns out I have a slightly abrasive personality--who'da thunk? :) ). That said, I think Golfwrx has enough great members (and even marginal ones like me!) who could make this pool all the funner. I'm in. :crazy:

I think I would pay to join, but I'm playing fantasy golf for the first time this year and I am already in two leagues hehe.

 

It should be fun! Fantasy football really makes watching the games much more fun...I used to not care that much unless my team was playing...now I care if my ff players are playing, too.

 

It's going to be strange actually watching golf on TV, though...not to mention being mad at Sergio or whoever for missing a short putt :).

Yes I would. Enjoyment for the duration of the league. I enter the GolfWeek fantasy league each year. It's very large and last year I believe they had 1000 entries. Something on a smaller scale would be enjoyable.

I voted no because I don't care for fantasy leagues but that's probably due to the fact that I don't have the time to follow the names like some people. I don't know anything about the majority of the people so it becomes a guessing game for me.

I am going to reverify with the Company tomorrow. We want to do a weekly contest with payouts. More participation, the better the payouts. We probably won't do a cummulative total for the first half but, maybe the second. So details should be out tomorrow night!
