just got an e-mail from the golf club at fossil creek (www.thegolfclubatfossilcreek.com) in fort worth, texas that tiger was out there filming a new commercial:

Tiger Woods Shoots Nike Commercial at Fossil Creek

The Golf Club at Fossil Creek is not new to the media spotlight. Channel 5 did an entire course review for their weekend golf special back in 2001, but now Fossil Creek will get national recognition with the airing of the Nike Sasquatch commercial in February. Tiger and his entire production crew endured the relentless cold to highlight signature hole #6 and hole #12 to help promote Nike's new driver. With a howling crosswind Tiger stepped up to #12 tee, looking at a 330+ yard carry over water, only to knock it to about 3 ft. from the cup. Quite possibly one of the best golf shots seen on hole #12 at The Golf Club at Fossil Creek.

you can check out the course layout on the website:
- #6 is a dog leg right, with some decent size trees (well north texas good size trees) on the right. if he is taking driver on this hole, i imagine he is going over the trees, over the creek to the elevated green. the gps says its 346 yards from the tips.

- #12 is a dog leg right around a lake, water along the whole right side (tee to green). gps says its 334 from the tips, over the water to the green.

its a good course, arnold palmer design. they've recently lowered the price, so the conditions aren't the greatest, but its a great layout otherwise.

im sorry dude Nike is paying him mad bucks for this because he himself said he doesnt like the SQ and is sticking to the Ignite.

Maybe but since he last used it till now, I'm sure Nike put in a little overtime to tweak and get one in his bag for the new season.

I agree with pitbull808.

They have made it so he liek it and will use it.

I remeber him saying he used it and didn't like it. But was still working with nike.

I love the nike commercials with tiger and frank. I wish they did more with them 2.

i realize he is being paid. i think we all realize. i was just just mentioning this not because it was the sq but because its a new commercial that will be coming out, filmed at a public course in fort worth. i've played this course a ton and find it amusing they used it.

yeah, i figured that too with tom stites being in ft. worth and also his coach being in the area. i hear tiger has been seen numerous times at vaquaro (sp), playing with hank and bunch of the other pga pros that live there.

that is not what he said....

he said he really LIKES the SQ but getting the loft and spin right was what that were working on... and working on and .. well you get the point. Just like the ignite. Same process.

MAN ARE YOU KIDDING ME HES GOING TO THE SQ :jester: That really stinks. I hit that club yesterday and well I can tell you one thing that it has the Ignite lacks which is its ugliness!!!! Tiger to the SQ w/e. I can sell my ignite for mid-upper 300 since I only played $175 new

Yeah man golfhawaii is rite. Tiger isn't even gunna use the SQ available the public. He will be using one that is similar to the production SQ Tour model. I agree that the SQ looks ugly and crappy but the SQ Tour looks awesome! The other SQ has this wacked up head and the SQ Tour looks like an Ignite shaped head. Totally different. And when Nike gets everything rite, it'll be sweet.

I agree with jer-jer. I have seen the tour in person and it isn't bad. I also remeber that tiger said he hits the sq too high and gets to much spin. I think he can tweak that.

i was at a golftown in montreal in december and they had a sq max, sq tour, and ignite 460. the sq max is out in left field, but the sq tour and ignite are very close to the same in size and shape. i'm just excited about him going with the sq so the prices will drop even more on the ignite so i can get one real cheap.
