Ogio Bag

uh oh

I noticed a defect on, actually in, my ogio bag today. One of the shaft dividers(the one that separates the putter pit, the first wood, and the top row of irons from each other. In other words, a very essential divider on this bag) was ripped where it was joined to the bag itself. In otherwords, my shafts were everywhere. I believe the bag came like this, because I saw a piece of fabric floppin around at the bottom when I bought it . Didn't think anything of it until the shaft devider was all to one side. Anybody have this happen to them on their bags after a while of use? I'm hoping a bought a durible bag

Anyway, i called Ogio, and I've gotta send it out to them, they said they are going to either A) try and fix it, or B) give me a new bag. I'm curious to see which of the 2 they're gonna do. What do you guys think? I think letter B.

Sorry to hear that man, but at least they are going to take care of you. Can you let us know what they decide to do? Also, which Ogio bag did you have? Good luck with getting it fixed and if you think about it, they might just have to give you a new one because I don't see how in the world they would plan to fix a divider thats torn at the bottom of the bag.

It was a Vaporlite II. It would be a hard spot to repair, requiring them to take apart the entire bag so that they can fix one seam all the way at the bottom and replace the divider (ripped off the intial seam). I'll let you guys know when I get it back. Good customer service, but I got to eat $15 for the shipping. No big deal though, as long as I have a bag that works.

They will send yo a new bag, because it is cheaper to replace it than have it fixed. Let us know how it turns out.. (cool)

I would think they would send a new bag. In my experiences, golf companies are some of the best for handling customer service issues. I have had a few interactions with Taylor Made that astounded me to what they did for me. I am not sure which threads you all have read, but the one about the supposed R9 ticked some people off as they thought TM was trying to force people to buy a new driver every year by introducing new products. These companies need loyal customers and will go to great lengths to build that type of customer base. I am a loyal TM guy after some of the stuff they did for me. Any issue you hvae with a company get in touch with their customer service people and just see what they are willing to do to rectify a problem. That being said, I am sure Ogio will step up and send you a new bag. If they do, how much more likely are you to buy another Ogio in a few years? Their thoughts exactly....

Yeah, but if they really wanted to have excellent customer service, they would recognize that a golf bag is required to play golf. As such (and knowing that they would most likely be replacing the bag) they would send you the replacement now. Other companies have done this for me, they just take a credit card number and if you don't send the defective item in within a certain amount of time you get charged for the replacement. Or at a minimum, they would direct you to a local dealer that could replace it for you on the spot.

Realistically, you are going to be without a bag for what, 2-3 weeks. Plus, did you have to pay shipping back? I don't know if I really consider that excellent customer service. Just my opinion.

Im pretty sure they'll give you a new bag because it will probably be cheaper and easier just to ship you out a bag instead of getting someone to take the bag apart and put it back together. Let us know how it turns out.

I see your point, and I like it. But, there isn't a hurry for me, I live in the Northeast. But my clubs are going to be without a home for a while (cool)

The same thing happened to my Ogio Featherlite! The slot seperating the putter from everything else isn't ripped but it's really loose and doesn't do anything to protect my grips. Another thing I noticed when I got my bag was a lot of string fraying. I think for my next bag I'll try a Sun Mountain but Ogio still rocks. You will most likely get a new one because it would be too hard to fix.

So it was bound to happen anyway? How long did it take for that to happen on yours? I bought the bag because it looked functional (and really good) and I figured it would last a while. If that's going to happen anyway, I think I just might get rid of it. I want something that will last, not something I'm going to regret having.
