IMO - top to bottom Cleveland is solid. I have never been a fan of Callaway stuff and I have tried a lot of it. I have always liked Cleveland's offerings. Currently they have two real good drivers, two good fairways to choose from, the original Hibore and Halo hybrids are great, the CG7 and tours can include all types of players and the wedges...

I like Cleveland's drivers, woods and wedges. Not so fond of with their irons nor putters. On Callaway, I love their game improvement irons and putters, but not crazy about the rest of the stuff (drivers & woods with no hosels? I'm a high handicapper, thus, have broke shafts 'cause of no hosel reinforcement)... so, it would be a REAL tough call for me to go with one brand name on my bag.

I guess if you REALLY just wanna go one brand only, then, as a prev. poster stated, you would go with Cleveland due to the fact that Srixon could "technically" also be used?

I am leaning towards the CG7's or maybe trying to find a set of CG4's. I am a 5 handicap and I prefer a more forgiving iron as opposed to a players iron. In Callaway, I was leaning towards the x22's or x22 tours.

Thanks.

Love my CG Golds. (some people don;t like the yellow)

Will be keeping them and trying the CG-7 tour this year when my swing gets un-winterized!

That's a tough choice... but if you must go from top to bottom with only one OEM, I'd go Callaway... or even Taylor Made/Titleist for that matter. But between those two you have listed.. Callaway.

Drivers: I prefer Fusion technology and the FT-9 and FT-iQ look to be real winners. Get on the Opti-fit cart and get optimized.

FW's: I play the Fusion FW and it's not leaving my bag anytime soon. Cally makes GREAT FW's.

Hybirds: The FT-hybrids are the real deal.

Irons: Depending on your preference, Cally makes it all. The X-22 Tour's look SWEET. The X-22's are superb as well, and last year's X Forged are winners all.

Wedges: X Forged wedges are solid. Plenty of spin (although truth be told, I play CG14's and love them over my X Forged).

Ball: Cally Tour i and iX are unreal. Whoa.

Cheers!

For a while, Callaway has been a market leader. No doubt they make great equipment. With the SRI purchase...watch Cleveland compete in the markets they have been outside of for a bit. I have been a Cleveland guy since 92. I am bias...however, watch the near future. Things are changing for CG.

I would go the Cleveland/Srixon route.

Titleist TSR3 9* - Ventus TR Blue 6X

Taylormade Stealth 2 15* - Ventus TR Blue 8X

Callaway Apex UW 19* - Ventus TR Blue 8X

Srixon ZX Utility 4i - Axiom 105X

Titleist T100 5-PW KBS Tour 130X
Titleist Vokey SM9 Raw 50/56/60 - KBS Tour 130X

Scotty Cameron Circle T Tour Rat Newport

I'm not overly familiar with Cleveland's iron line, but I really like the looks of their Driver, FW, Hybrid, and Wedges. I particularly like the looks of the new Launcher driver. I also like the "classics" line of putters. Nice soft metal with milled face.

Or course, callaway has an extensive product line. It shouldn't be too hard to get a bag full of their clubs either.

You can't miss either way, but I'd prolly go with cleveland and ebay a set of TA7 Tours.
