Burner TP, to me is the best deal on the golf ball market.

 

i dont class £30 per dozen cheap or non premium but they are nice and soft feeling

 

they're only 27$ canadian over here. I'd still consider that on the lower end.

 

under 20$, i'd say the noodle+

 

i guess golf balls are pretty expensive over here (£40 for pro v's)

My favorite are older premium balls that run less than current mid range balls.

 

While it may not be the best value, the e5+ is my favorite mid range ball in terms of performance.

The Maxfli Tour Fire is a solid ball as well, and clearanced out @ Dick's for $15/doz.

The D2 Feels is a great value @ $1/ball, let alone the crazy price Target had them for @ $3.74/15 pk.

I have been playing the HX Hot Bite, and while I don't like it's price or durability, I got them for $12/dozen, and they are like a longer, less durable e5+.

Usually I play a pro-v or b-330 but when i run out of those i found that the Srixon AD 333 is a very good ball with similar playing characteristics at half the price.

 

+1 - I shot one of my best rounds with one, although I did lose a stroke or two due to tee shots rolling off the back of the green when a better ball would have stuck. Of course I probably would have sliced a few more tee shots with the better balls so it's not really a valid criticism

 

I also really like the e5, but it isn't quite the same bargain that the AD333 is. The Srixon is definitely one of the best putting balls I've used.

for a cheap non premium ball i'd have to go with the topflite d2 feel.

 

 

I like Bridgestone e6+ for my winter ball, e5+ for everyday play during the season. I want to try the e7's. I also like Titleist NXT's and NXT tour. When its plugging really bad in the winter I'll do Precept Laddie Xtrem. :drinks:

i play pro v1x but if you want a cheap ball then the callaway warbird is about the best you can buy £10 for a dozen and you only lost a little feel,distance is yard fof yard with the titleist

I also played the Precept IQ 180's and found them very capable. I always play non-premium for the first few rounds of the year and this ball did very well last year for me.

Bridgestone E5+ best feeling non premium ball around the green, you can put some check on your chip shots and hold a full shot with ease.

 

Top Flight Gamers are pretty good too, i've had duribility issues with them, but then they are less than half the price of a tour ball.

 

Callaway Big Bertha, I don't even know if they are making these anymore, I always thought i hit them as far as the HX Hot and they had a softer feel and more spin for about a buck less/ball.

ZIPs are great but they are almost too soft. think rubber super ball, i.e. they lack feel and feedback. I'd have to say the Top Flite Gamer, the Cally Hot Bite, or a used mint premium ball from Dr Mulligans are pretty decent for brand new balls in the $20-$25 range.

 

I think the best value out there are AAAA BLack Max from lostgolfballs.com also. I saw a study on shelf life saying 5-7 years for a new ball, for recycled unknown, hoever the Black Max was top tier in 2006 and can be found for $9.95 mint

For the money I think the Top Flight Feel is one of the best balls in production today. I also like the E6+.

The Top Flight Gamer is also nice for the price, but the cover isn't as durable as the TP Feel...

i've actually been playing the precept laddie x and like it pretty well for a budget ball...but i think the Top flite d2 feel is better around greens. I like the Nike Powersoft as well.

The last couple years I've been playing Cally HX Tour (need to try ix) and TM Red LDP because I think they are great flyers and nice around the greens. Curiously, 2 of my 3 best scores (74 and 75) have been shot using the Precept Laddie X that you could get a double dozen for $19.99. They didn't check up as well around the greens, but why am I not using that ball again? :fool:
