anybody hit this in a driver?

... don't hear much about harrison shafts ... anybody have feedback on them?

I have a Cleveland Launcher330cc driver with the Harrison Pro2.5, cut to 44.5inches.

It's a great shaft, you can swing as hard as you want and there is very little flex. But at the same time, it does not feel like a steel stick. It gives lots of feedback and produces a very reassuring sound.

harrison makes solid shafts.. the 2.5 is a great shaft.. very stable and the newer version 2.5ti - which has titanium strips inlayed in the shaft makes it even more a beast.. the striper tour also is nice.. they have a new nano shafts coming out>> MUGEN "no limits" low torgue,active tip section.. look forward to trying it.. ken

I love the 2.5 Ti. I had it in a Cobra and it was straight and long. I recently bought a Cleveland 460 Comp with the NV shaft. No comparison. The Harrison was longer and straighter. I also felt like I could work the Harrison better. Usual shot was med-low and boring. But I could go high with it and, when striking well, I could manufacture a draw. It has noticeable hit at impact that the NV doesn't have. People talk about how smooth the NV is. For me, that's the problem! Its too smooth and I get no whip or hit at impact.

I'm going to swap it out for a Harrison. Now I just need to figure out if I go with the 2.5Ti or the newer Mugen. Hmmmmm.

Els and Sabbatini are apparently both playing the 80 gram version in their drivers. The line has quality throughout, but I find it hard to distinguish since the names are often very similar for very different shafts.

I have the 70 gram (S/X flex) version of the 2.5 in my 905R and love it. In fact, I just had the 80 gram version installed in my Adams Tour 3 wood. Great shaft for under $70 shipped!

Where can you get a 70 gram.... I havn't been able to find one. I am only looking online though.

I had the 2.5 Tour 80 version (80 g) in my launcher 460. One of the best shafts I have hit (for my swing). Boring trajectory and the shaft handles the quick transition in my swing very well.

Had the Both the Harrison striper (titleist 983k) and the 2.5 (La Jolla ??) . The striper seemed much better for my swing, smooth and a little syrupy. The 2.5 seemed to stiff for me, could not get it to go left, good if ya hook.

I was thinking of changing my old Cobra 427 with stock reg shaft for a new driver (R7) as it felt a bit soft and the shot was spreading too much, but instead I re-shafted it with the bright yellow Harrison 2.5 Ti reg/firm.

What a difference! :-)

I have about 95-100 mph driver head speed. I went from weak fades / slices to straight / soft fades. My distance off the tee increased with on average 15 yards to about 250 yds, but with the occasional monster drive touching 300...
