Thanks alot. I guess one can always dream!! Maybe I will catch a glimpse from the outside.

Now only if I could get a reasonable priced bruins ticket!!!!! when I come visit.

You can get a reasonably priced Bruins ticket. The problem is that it would be for the Providence Bruins and not the Boston Bruins. :)

Hear Hear !!

Not much chance getting in at The Country Club unless you have some fantastic contacts....not much chance getting Tix to the the Boston Bruins unless ya wait out in the street and watch their bus drive by.....of course they have tinted windows....

I was lucky and got to play The Country Club about 12 years ago. It is very exclusive and basically impossible to get on without a member inviting you.

You could play the muni next door, Putterham Meadows, and get some views of some of the TCC, but not much. Putterham is pretty lousy IMO as it is muddy until June and is generally not well maintained.

Good luck.

I wouldn't say that. If you are willing to pay top dollar there are plenty available on StubHub, eBay and other ticket brokers. Face value though? Slim chance.

The P-Bruins are a nice alternative though especially at 1/8 the price of NHL playoff tickets.

Just got back from Boston and luckily enough I was lucky enough to play The Country Club. I must say it was the single best golf expierence I have had to date. The staff was amazing the members were very friendly and informative and the course probably the truest greens out there and especially this early in the season. If you ever get the chance to play jump at the chance, sell your first born just do whatever you can to play. When the round is done you need to go into the clubhouse and have a drink and I would recommend the FERNANDO it potent but very good and made famous internationally when featured in golf digests best m19th holes

I don't know how he did it but here are some tips that have worked for me. Most high end clubs host a few charity outings every year. So if you are willing to buy a foursome to support the local hospital/library/women's shelter etc. you can often get on top 25 private courses.

Also, I often see three-somes at The Country Club auctioned off at charity auctions by members who donate them. In fact, I often donate three-somes at a couple top courses I belong to in support of charities. Three-somes rather than foursomes because most top courses require/prefer that member play with their guests rather than allowing them on unaccompanied.

Its really a great course with even a greater staff. A perfect balance of risk and reward. History is second to none. First class all the way.

Pictures below are from August 09'

Picture #1 17th green (Yes, I hit the same putt Leonard did on 99')

Picture #2 Myself (green) with Aaron (Asst. TCC)

My daughter played there a lot as it was her college golf team's practice course. I tried several times to get on but couldn't find a connection even with her college golf coach.

I was lucky enough to qualify for the Mass Am last year and got 2 rounds on it. I played the championship course first. which is a mix of their regular 18 and 4 holes from their primrose course. i shot 81 there. the next day i played the main course and shot 71 and missed match play by 1 shot.

since then I have played there 3 times. my pro has made a call, and the club was gracious enough to have 3 of us as guests. the only stipulation is you have to play with someone from the pro shop. no biggie, as they are all very nice gentleman.

and the Fernando is probably the greatest drink ever made. fernando is a great guy to talk to as well.
