issue with seams

I am trying the Z-Star. The first ball out of the dozen made it two rounds. Toward the middle of the second round, before I washed it, I noticed that the majority of the ball seam was visable and a small amount of dirt was collecting in it. It looked like a quality issue. It was almost as if the two halves of the cover were going to separate. Has anyone noticed this with their Z-Stars? I am going to try another ball, but, if this continues I need more information about the money back guarantee that I have seen offered by Srixon in magazines. Has anyone been dissatisfied and taken advantage of this offer? Can I just take the balls back to the store to get my money back? I like the ball accept for this durability issue. Thanks.

You played a single ball for 36 holes? I think the longest I've gone without switching out a ball is 9 holes.

I have not had this problem, though admittedly 18 holes is the most I've played with the same ball.

The Z-Star is pretty much the most durable premium ball on the market. Though not impossible, I highly doubt it's a quality issue. If you think it is, why not contact Srixon direct?

I recently played the same Z-Star for 2.5 rounds and other than some mild scuffing it's just fine. Either your wedges have much sharper grooves than mine, you hit the ball much harder than I do (both entirely possible) or you got a dud. Call Srixon and see what they have to say.

If there's a seem visable on a Z-Star than there must be a quality issue. I have yet to see a seem on a Z-Star ball yet.

I noticed that issue with some older Z=URSII balls but not so far with the Z star.

I could clearly see the dirt in the seam on my ZStar yesterday. Played it all 18 holes. But it did not impact the performance of the ball, IMO.

I never noticed the issue with Zstar

I played 36 holes with same ball and will play the same ball today

Will see how long it will last. Great ball for sure

i dont think they out perform bs 330s 'o8 but last a whole lot longer

I played the Z-Star for 27 holes on Saturday and had no issues with durability. Even hit the side of a tree (tried a hero shot, almost made it!) and had minimal scuffing. Took it out of play only because it ran out of good shot mojo. Never had a problem with a seam. If it's just one ball then nothing to worry about. You got your moneys worth.

I also noticed the same thing after about 20 holes with the Z-Star. The seam was discolored due to becoming dirty. It seemed to have no effect. I proceeded to lose that ball at around 28 holes. I am not complaining, just pointing out I have seen the same thing.
