Anyone play Titleist 762's?

Just wondering if anyone still plays the Titleist 762's. I just picked up a set in excellent condition locally for pretty cheap.

Brought them out to the range, and for a quick round today and was really impressed. Look great at address, nice weight, and have a really solid feel.

I was playing Ping I3's, and compared to the 762, the Ping's are much lighter, and the feel alot more muted. I can feel the clubhead alot easier with the

Titleist's. The 762 has DGS300 shafts, the Ping's were JZ Cushin stiff. Distance is a little longer with 762's as well, and the ball flight a tad higher.

Well, I was playing them for 10 years, now gaming AP2's. Still have the 762, and won't part with them.

Played them for 9 years with GAT stiff shafts. Wonderful clubs. Also still have them as I just went with Nickent blades. Why? Hell no reason for the change but curiosity. Will keep the 762's just in case.

These are some of my all-time favorite clubs. I'm not playing them now-- I play G5's for more forgiveness. But the 762's are the only set of irons I have in my basement. I've sold everything else.

Just replaced my 762 (still have them just not in the bag) I loved these clubs, I just had an itch for something new.

I think that the 762's are a great club. They have a soft feel for a cast club and are very durable. I also find them much more forgiving then the Maltby ratings suggest. I have been gaming them for three years.

I was playing 990's (which I loved) at the time I demo'd the 762's (when they first came out). Didn't care for the feel. Looked good at address though.

For some reason I have always felt that the 762's were head of their time. Many of the cast clubs today are using cavity inserts to provide soft feel (ie. Cleveland, Tour edge exotics, and AP series). Just add some new grips and you have yourself a nice set of sticks.

Dropped the clubs off yesterday morning for a re-grip. Great sticks IMO. Even better that I paid $150 CDN for a lightly used set :clapping:

I've said this in other threads that I think these for me were the best irons ever, due to injuries and age though I'm gonna put my spare set up for sale one of these days when I get around to taking pictures, even though I hate to.

I just cant seem to keep them out of my bag. Ive gamed the 762 with Dynamic Gold SL for 6 yrs now. I bought a set of Taylor Made R7 TP's last year and featured them for about a month, even had an ace with the TP's. I can control trajectory better with the 762's. But have been thinking of giving the TP's another run soon. But the 762's are one set that will not be on Ebay.

I play a set of 762-B's and they are rock solid and very soft feeling as well. Every bit as good as any players iron released today.

I played the 762s for four years before I started playing blades. I still bag the 2 iron. Great feel for a cast club and rather long if I remember correctly
