CaddieSync Issues?

Anyone else having issues logging into CaddieSync today? I keep getting server applcation errors. FWIW, I am running a Mac.

 

When I try to get to the login screen, it freezes momentarily and then the error page comes up.

 

I am trying to make a change to my favourites list and am not having any luck.

I'm having the exact same problems and was getting ready to ask if anyone else was too.

 

Edit: I'm using Vista so its a problem on their site i'm pretty sure

I just tried it again and it worked. Hopefully they fixed whatever problem they had.

11 pm EST here and if you go to www.skygolf.com it states "scheduled website maintenance".

For some reason they don't give you the same notice when trying to sync.

I couldnt sync earlier this morning... Good thing the wife kept me from breaking it, theyre making it easier for me to pick up a rangefinder.

I see that now, but the maintenance message was not on the website earlier today. I ended up getting the same server/error message when I tried to log on through the website as I did when I started CaddieSync this morning. Today's events combined with radio silence to my requests to get my home course mapped may have me evaluating the uPro.

 

Beginning to think that SkyCaddie is like communism. Good in theory but horrible in practice.....

Not working for me now.... I can sync, but it errors out when trying to download courses. I've tried everything, including setting it up on another computer. So ****ing frustrated right now. Playing a private country club for the first time tomorrow and a scramble on Sunday and won't have a chance to Sync for either if it doesn't work tonight.

Sky Caddie is sooooo frustrating. Ive had it for three years and have never once synched on the first or second or third try. They should take some of their ad budget and spend it on IT.

Totally agree, it's very "finnicky". I just bought the 20 course deal for my SG3 tonight when I renewed my membership and been pulling my hair to install 20 courses onto my SG3. In the end I just scrubbed my entire favorite list and then re-select my fave courses. That seemed to do the trick. WTF!

 

Wasted about 3 hours tonight trying to get 20 course down. It's a POS software, and when it bombs in the download, unplug everything and start again.

 

Caddiesync 5.2.5 & SG3.

Looks like upgrading to Snow Leopard breaks the Caddie Sync software. It will not recognize the device when plugged in.

Let's not blame Apple or Snow Leopard here. SkyGolf either had or could've had access to Snow Leopard for about a year before it was released. It's ridiculous that SkyGolf did not have a new version compatible with Snow Leopard available before the release of Snow Leopard.

Apple released Snow Leopard early, so there have been a signifcant number companies that were not ready with their programs. I have held off upgrading because I heard of enough software that was going to have issues. And as a programmer myself, whether it is Apple or Microsoft, there have always been things that worked through beta process but failed when the release version came out.

We have to be patient and let them do their testing and release the Snow Leopard compatible version of Caddiesync when it is fully tested and ready. As a programmer I have also learned the people that complain the loudest when something is not out, complain the loudest when something does not work to their satisfaction.

I'm a mac owner and after up grading to Snow Leopard i found Caddysync to be incompatible, I put in an email over 2 weeks ago regarding the sync problem and was told that they were working diligently to resolve the problem and that Sky Caddy would have a fix soon.......yeah right!........erm.....when will 'soon' be?

I've just been on the phone to SkyCaddie support who told me they have a beta version on the CaddieSync software for Snow Leopard. Was on hold waiting for tech support to talk me through the software install but phone line got cut off (probably a Skype issue not SkyCaddie). Can't be bothered to call back and so will wait until an official fix is released.

Luckily I have a second MAC computer that I didn't update with Snow Leopard and so can still sync courses. I was hoping that by buying the most expensive golf GPS in the UK I would get the best product but have had a number of software update issues before this one that have needed calls to SkyCaddie to fix. Fingers crossed that they get a fix soon.

Their beta software requires one of their technicians to remote in to your MAC and install it. I didn't like that so I'll wait for the final release.

I'm running the beta on SnowLeopard. It's version 2.2.4 and it works just fine.

They did remote in to my Mac, using an application called Bomgar, and all Support did was remove the old software, and do a standard Mac install of the beta. There is one or two times you need to click the 'cancel' button when CaddieSync starts as the Mac interprets this as a new Network interface.

The tech said when the final version is released, this will be cleaned up.

I just purchased the SG3.5 and I agree that the beta for SnowLeopard is working just fine. Total time to install approximately 30 minutes.

Two weeks on and still no fix on the website. There's also no mention anywhere on the web site that Snow Leopard is not supported! SkyCaddie have made their GPS units unusable and at the very least should admit that there is a problem so that new customers can make an informed decision. Shame on you SkyCaddie.

Is this what you all are talking about? if so, it seems to say that there in no guarantee to anything beta.
