Bag Towels

What is up with these bag towels with the handel in the middle...like what happened to the ones with the O ring and a clip???....

It's so the towel doesn't completely touch the ground because the towels with the center handle (for lack of a better term) are typically twice as big as the old towels with the grommet on the corners. I've got one of each and with the big towel I just lay half of it on one side of the bag and the other half on the opposite side. With the smaller towel I just let it hang where it wants to as if it has a choice. Of course all this applies to my routine as I walk and carry a stand bag. I guess with a cart it wouldn't make much difference.

For these type of towels, I usually just use the cart bag strap as the towel holder, works great. Prior to actually straping your bag to the cart, just slide the towel on the strap prior to locking the strap and you're good to go.

I think you're supposed to put the "handle" over the head of your putter and it stay there that way. I don't like them either, and don't buy them. Course I also take a towel (I have lots of them) and wet one end and lay them across the clubs in the top of the bag with the ends hanging off so I'll have a wet end and a dry end to wipe my clubs with.

I think that the O ring and the clip either rust or get lost when people was their clubs. Maybe that's why some companies have changed the setup?

get the titleist staff towel.. big and no clip which is good when wrapping the towel around your irons.

If I wanted to be a cynic I'd think that it had something to do with the fact that with a small towel you can't see the logo from 100 yards away. Looking at that thing, it looks like you could use it for a bath towel after the round.

Me, I'm cheap. Get the 3 for $5 dish towels at WallyWorld, (green and black ones), pop a gommet into the corner, and I'm good to go. A 49 cent d-clip fixes it to the bag.

i use these towels.
both are great. microfiber very effective. but the first one is for show. and it looks cool i highly recommend it.

I personally never really understood the towels with the clip. Just take a plain white towel and wrap it around your 3 wood.....or better yet the tour reflector sticks that everyone has in their bags.

To be honest, living in Texas, I carry two towels. One white one to clean clubs and a color one for sweat.

Normally I have my Amino Vital towel but since I lost 2 on the course, I went back to the clip on towel. The plow sticks are the best alignment aid you can find for the money.

I use the drihood as my rain cover.....use a Titleist staff towel with a handle for cleaning my clubs....hang it on my umbrella handle or over my putter

I use a big Titleist towel that just hangs between my woods and irons.

I actually had no idea how much decent towels cost. I normally like plain white towels since the titleist and oem towels above don't really hold water as well when you try to soak them.

Anyhow, i picked up a crappy towel from the $.99 store. I'll just never wipe my woods down w/ them since they are tough as hell.

I got a big Srixon one for free some time ago for buying a dozen Srixon balls. When not in used I wrap it through the irons (which minimizes bag chatter).

The Vokey Store at Vokey.com does ship to the UK. Wedge Works (the limited edition wedges), however, does not. Hope this helps.
