Congrats to him!!!!! He deserved that win. There is so much more to that win than just beating Tiger. He beat Tiger, and the rude galleries that move around and scream "Get in the Hole". ( God I hate them ) And how uncomfortable was that trophy presentation? They all had their Tiger speech ready didn't they?

according to golf.com he uses a r7 limited driver and TM r7 tp irons, even thought during the tournament it looks as if his irons were different from any r7 tps ive ever seen, looked more like he was using the rac mb tps but who knows, obviously he was using a odyssey 2 ball putter! that one was pretty clear

I was driving to and from Knoxville all day (taking daughter to school) and the announcer on a radio sports talk show (I believe it was Fox) was guaranteeing Yang would fold under the unbearable pressure of Tiger Woods.

The other interesting point was his instructor, Brian Mogg from Orlando, saying yesterday that Yang was going to win.

The worst part of all of this is that Alex Micelli from the "Approach" on Golf Channel (he just might be the most obnoxious guy on all of television, behind John Hawkins) had been saying since Thursday that Tiger would not win. Said it after rounds 1, 2, and 3. Now we will hear for months how right he was....from him!!

the announcers were trying so hard to "noonan" Yang it was disgusting. on his approach to 18 one of them said "he's got to hit it over the trees" when the ball was something like 50 yards past them already LOL

An all time upset

Just read Korean newspaper and says

- After high school, he worked as range ball picker
- did not have any proper golf training. He copied pros practicing at the range
- had work at construction site, had injury then served mandatory military for 2yrs
- His self taught golf got him to pro but was not making any money. did not want to give lessons and make living so he grinded and kept on practicing and came to U.S.
- His first year at U.S. earning was $50k

I am impressed about him as many people try to steer him away from golf, like his father wanted to run their farm and other people......
