which are you using and why?

If this is your main ball, which contenders has it turned away and why?

For a long time, I played the B330S. I thought the B330 was too clicky and I was looking for the extra spin and feel around the greens. The -S is a great ball. My biggest complaint is the cover, it scuffs and gets chewed up fairly easy which is why I have been testing other balls like the ProV1 and Srixon S-Star.

Overall, its a nice ball. I like the feel off the putter better than the ProV1 as it is a little clickier off the putter. If you're looking for a buttery soft ball off the putter, try the ProV1 or the S-Star.

TP Red looks a little better on the launch monitor than the b330 for me and I think is about as soft. I could be wrong on that last point.

On the Launch monitor ProV1x spun the most, followed by b330, followed by TP Red. Would be interested if anyone else out there can confirm or dispute this?

I changed from the Pro V1X to the B330S for a couple of reasons. The B330S didn't have the crazy spin back that I got with the pro v1x, more of a 1 hop and stop, which is what I was after. Length of these two is the same for me, and the B330S I like better in the wind.

B330s is much softer feeling that the B330. Close to a Pro-V1. Distance differences were negligible IMO.

The B330RX is also a great ball. Really can't tell any diff between the RX and the S.

I been testing other brands against the B330S and haven't found a ball to unseat it yet. Tried the Srixon Zurs (not bad in cooler weather, doesnt spin much off the tee), ZStar (no difference to Zurs) and most recently the Callaway Tour i and ix. I initially thought the Tour i was going to replace the B330S, but off the tee i found it to spin a bit much especially into the wind, and the spin around the green was excessive. The Tour i does feel good off the putter, but chipping & pitching I was loosing too much distance (at the 1st or 2nd bounce) when it would just check up and stop. Today i gave a sleeve of Tour ix a run, they felt terrible both off the tee and around the green (Wedges and Putter). Pulled the 330S out on the back 9 and bingo, everything was back to normal. The wear during a round was most noticeable in the Tour i's followed by the Zurs with the B330S lasting about 2 rounds as long as it doesnt find a tree or the cart path. My driver SS is between 108 and 112, i play off 11 and will continue to do so with the B330S as my rock of choice .

I rotate the B330 in my bag often. I prefer the feel of the B330 over the B330-S due to the S being too spinny. I used to be a ProV1-X player, now play the Z Stars, Cally Tour iX and B330.

Exactly the same reasons i changed. Used a prov1x the other day first time in months, the spin was madness, was coming back 30 feet with wedges.

I've been playing the B330-S for several years now, and before that I played the Precept Tour Premium LS. I have toyed at times with the B-330, but like the feel of the S better. I also tried the TP Red this year, but it could not knock the Bridgestone out of the bag. It felt softer, but maybe after playing the B330-S for so long, I just like the feel more, it was one I felt I could play though.

I will also add that the Bridgestone Balls are great in the wind, the only ball that rivaled or beat it was the Callaway I tried a couple of years ago, but I didn't like the feel of the cally...

I usually play the B330-s. Nice distance , nice softer feel and better spin around the greens for me. I play the B330's when it is more windy. I feel it is less affected by the wind.

have you all found the B330 to be significantly longer off the tee than the B330s? If so, by how many yards?

In my play time with the B330-s and B330, the B330-S was longer for me. The B330 really serves someone that launches really high with excess spin. I haven't tested the B330-s with my current driver set-up, but with my 909 they were longer than Pro V1s, how much is negotiable depending on wind and conditions.

Right now I am playing the TM Red LDP and going back to B330-s to actually bring a little spin back to the driver and woods, with heads and shafts going to making everything super low spin, I think some people will need the higher spin ball to get spin rates UP to optimal instead of down.

B330-s is a great ball and very hard to beat, want more time with the TM Penta TP, only got 1 and played 9 holes with it and afraid to lose it for some reason......guess just need to try it more until it's gone I guess.
