Not to burst anyone's bubble but at the rate this club is being passed on you won't be able to entertain another experiment until 2011. Anyway, it'll be good to see some home made videos of the hammer in action.

The hammer made it there. They used it in their Long Drive contest, their are some videos of them screaming WHile hitting it.

They have a thread about it on the Southwest WRX Chapter threads.

Though watching that shaft flex during the swing, I'm surprised that it didn't clean snap in half!

hahahh yeah the hammer made it and it was a big hit, so to speak. That's me in video and im surprised any of were actually able to hit it. The funniest thing about it was that we ahd the hammer out on the 18th hole for everyone to hit, and when my group was on the 17th fairway, I thought I heard someone screaming POW!!!!!! Well, it was Deadpool and OMG it was hilarious. How could I follow that up? It was seriously so damn funny.

Thanks again for doing this, Ive got more pics that I'll post up, and I'll try to write a review as well. I actually hit it surprisingly well. maybe its the power of Zolex? GGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Is there an updated list for the Hammer? I know it went to AZ last week and is going to work it's way toward the midwest, but right now I think the entire midwest is covered with snow. It's supposed to be in the 40's and 50's here in Kansas for the next week, but I don't think that it will be dry enough to even play golf. If it snows again, it might be mid-Feb or March before anybody here plays golf.

Just an FYI to keep in mind.

yeah Im looking to find out where its going next? My brother will be in town Feb 6th-13th from Johnson City, TN, and he can take it back to that area with him and then pass it around there. I know theres no snow and a few wrx'rs out in that area of the south.

Funny, I thought it looked like Bloodsport, just didn't recognise the drums or microphone - thought it was maybe out of some sort of parody movie.

 

Ahhhh, Bloodsport. I must of watched that movie 20 times when I was 18. That and "Aliens" - Bill Paxton was hilarious in that movie.

 

Mind you, this has nothing to do with the Hammer, though I can pciture doing a "JCVD" type ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH when unleashing its awesome power, or talking like Bill Paxton in Aliens when stepping up to the tee - "I'm gonna' kick this ball's alien a**! I'm gonna blow it he**! Ball's gonna' die!"

 

Man, still at least two months away from golfing here. If I come up with any more ideas of things to do and say when hitting the Hammer, it's going to take me 5 minutes for every tee shot.

Has anyone brought the Hammer in a golf store and used it on a launch monitor and compared it to other drivers? That would be interesting. I usually bring my current driver in and compare it against the newest drivers to see a comparison. Edwin Watts never charges for this...

I had my first run in with a Hammer!!!!!

I was playing my first round of the spring yesterday and caught up to a couple of older guys out tuning up as well so they invited me to join them. They had already hit their drives so I had no clue what was in store for me on the 8th tee.

Going through the typical introductions when I told them I was a chem grad student one of the guys informed me that his playing partner was a former Physics Prof... and as we walk to the tee from the 7th green I could feel that I was in the presence of a great power.... and this guy who has made his life from the study of physics busted out THE HAMMER! I didn't have the balls to yell "POOOOOOWWWWWW" after he hit, but as per usual of most people who have seen this majestic club in action he was fairly short off the tee and it leaked to the right.

I really wanted to ask him if it was a gift or if he was just really sold on the physics involved in the creation of the Hammer?
