As I enter my 30s I see I will have 4 headcovers. I will get teased for this. I might actually order the New Black Titleist Cart Bag as well as I'm done carrying! (Still walking though but pull carting it in 2010)

I have thought of it too, maybe this setup:

909H 21*
4-6 CB 710
7-PW MB 710

Or I'll just buy a full set, I am looking forward to test these new irons. I hate the cold weather. Someone take me to the HOT US!

Is the MB 710's hard to hit? are they forgiving at all?

Please you AP2 owners, post some photos how the 3 irons is at address and more photos on the clubs so I don't buy anything stupid like Ping!

It's not stupid, but it is stupid for me. I have a Ping shop very close to my house and I like their clubs but in the heart I am a Titleist player. If I buy a set of Ping Irons I will always feel that I have made the wrong choice and that I can't play good with these clubs. I have to be a Titleist player because in about 6 months they will give me 25% off on all their clubs, accessories, apparel everything! 25% off in Sweden is the same as US retail price.

I love Titleist!

Interesting to see that you KGeorge78 ditch your 60 degree wedge. Don't you ever feel that you are missing anything? I don't know which setup I should have. I have the 52, 56, 60. But I want 2 woods and 3-PW so that is not working. Maybe I should to go the shop and tell them to bend 60 to 58 and try 52, 58 or try to bend the 56 to 54 and try 54, 60. Think I will do that, I can always bend it back if I'm not satisfied.

What do you guys think sound best?

This is what I am planning to do with my whole set, please come with comments.

Driver - The driver has Titleist Diamana Blueboard R-Flex. I have swingspeed 100+ so I am thinking of a new shaft because I need a more stable and reliable shaft. That is strait all the time. I think it feels kind of bad putting a 300$ shaft in a clubs that I have already paid 450$ for in sweden. Hate the swedish prices! But I am considering a real deal Diamana Blueboard like you george. Is it big difference between the fake and real. What is the biggest difference?? Any thoughts?

Woods - I just sold my 3 wood, The Titleist 909F2 15,5 Diamana Blueboard R-flex (Not real blueboard) used for 150$ so I can buy a new one. Used clubs is very expensive in Sweden! I am thinking doing the same as you here kgeorge again. Buying a 909F2 13,5 and 18,5. I don't have the bankaccount to play 300$ shafts in these too. So I am going with the standard fake blueboard again.

Irons - AP2 710 irons, love the look, love the old ones feel, love the new shaft & love the club. This is the one for me. I have always wanted to play the AP2 irons and now I am going to. Can't wait until the mid of February when I am purchasing all these clubs. I am going to buy them with the Dynamic Gold S300 shaft. Just love that shaft, very reliable and great feel.

Wedges - Will be playing a 2 wedge setup. I have 4 choices:
Choice 1: Play 52 and 56 and ditch the 60. Doesn't feel good because the 60 is the club I love the most.
Choice 2: Bend 56 to 54 and play 54 and 60. I am probably doing this one.
Choice 3: Bend 60 to 58 and play 52 and 58.
Choice 4: Play 56 and 60 and ditch the 52.

Putter: Just bought a Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 1,5 that I love. Will keep it!

Sorry george for stealing your thread. But I felt that I have to tell you guys.

Hi George,

Congrats on your new purchases! I have to say I like the look of the all titleist bag.

I just purchased AP2 710's and I love them as well! I love the look of these and they are so easy to hit. I am a mid handicapper and these irons have given me a lot more confidence and improved ball striking.

I also recently switched my wedges from TM Rac's to Vokey's. I have a 52* & 60* and the 56* is on the way!

Great bag and let us know how the Titleist upgrades compare to the Pings!

I played both the Ping and the 909 last year but the 909 had the fake diamana. I play the 63g blueboard in all my drivers (constanly get fit for it, silky smooth).Most of us know the shaft makes the driver but what i noticed is: The Ping is a bit longer and hotter.The Titleist is straighter and slightly open which helps the snap hooks.They both sound great, feel great.None of the 2010 drivers release so far appeal to me. I'm waiting to try the VR but I'm not sure I'll even do that.The only thing left is to wait for the method and ...... pick up another set of VR wedges (I just was so good with them last year i figure I'll put them on standby incase the vokeys don't play nice).I have never ever ever been so anxious for golf season.

Also, how do you rate the 909's compared to the Ping woods you were using?

I played the VR last year. Blades usually, sometimes splits.

I had the AP2s last year for a week but returned them as I hated PX.

The 909 woods are better than the rapture woods. The Driver is a toss up. I'll keep them both. Same shaft. Like Ive said before the V2 is longer, the 909 has more control.
Both are great.

Nothing I've tried in 2010 beats them.

Just got back from the Sim with my 2 Drivers
909D2 vs. Ping Rapture V2 - Both 10.5 Stiff Same Diamana Blueboard 63g shaft (Ping is 0.5 inch longer)
The shaft makes the club. Both clubs feel great. They were within yards of eachother surprisingly. I figured the V2 would be much longer but it's not.

It's been said many times before but the shaft really does make the Driver.

It's kinda silverish but very light, almost white with grey and black accents. It really looks amazing in person.

I was walking around a golfshop today and picked it up. Couldn't believe it.

That's one thing about 14 club bags. I can't cheat!

I decided that I cannot waste a spot in the bag on a backup driver (13.5). I'd rather have the 60 for those shots where the 60 is key.

And although I'll play these irons all year, who's to say I'm not looking for a Different driver / 4 wood / hybrid combo!

The fact that the 909f2 doesn't come in a 4 wood is puzzling considering most of the competition has a 4 wood.

If I stick with the 909 driver, I may go to a 15.5 3 wood and 19 hybrid but I think the 21 hybrid goes just a bit further and higher than my 4 iron which is what I prefer. I don't usually go for the green from 230+ so right now the 5 wood makes sense.

Sorry I never got around to posting my bag pics. I have been swamped with work. (good problem). I see you went ahead and bought a bag though. How do you like it? Looks sweet. Did you ever see the Titleist 2010 cart bag in person? I laugh ever time I see your set of clubs, we have almost the same. I am going to be trying out drivers next. Looking to try the 909 comp and 909 d2. Let you know what I find.

I bought a bag yes but I have about 10 bags! My basement looks like Golfsmith's bag section.

I haven't seen the 2010 Titleist cart bag but I do want to check it out. This bag is the same as all the sasquatch tour bags. I need to modify it somehow to make a handle on the top of the bag like all Titleist / Sunmountain carry bags. It's difficult to take it off your bag when carrying.
