Ive never had a problem with them until this week. I tried booking a tee time with them for next monday, but kept recieving an error message. Sent customer service an email, never heard back from them. Called and spoke with customer service yesterday afternoon, got the tee time booked, but just checked my online bank statement and there are 4(FOUR!!!!) pending charges from golfnow. I emailed them asking them to remove 3 of the 4 charges. I'll be super pissed if they don't, I dont want to deal with the bank over their mistake.

BTW, 4 pending charges, yet only 1 confirmed booking.

Yep, they're really good about correcting errors. Great way to save money and a great way for courses to fill their tee sheets when it gets slow. Win-Win.

Used them once and it worked well. Another time their site was down for one particular couse (I think it was the course's fault). My experience went well and I saved a little bit. One other thing, I believe their refund policy states that the course has to close for you to get a refund (ie heavey storms and/or lightining, not just some rain showers), but this should be outlined on their site.

I've used them for probably 30-40 rounds, usually, I go there first. I almost always play as a single, and golfnow gives me a guaranteed time, so I don't have to waste long drive time trying to walk on. I've never had inclement weather issues, nor issues with the booking process (yes, it does error sometimes, but I never had extra charges).

I had an issue they charged me for a booking the coarse never got it was right in the middle of the the change over from Lastminutegolfer.com they refunded it right away no problems. I perfered it when it was lastminutegolfer.com but that is probably because I was use to the lay out have to say it is growing on me.

Love golfnow.com. My local course charges $80 a round and once a week I get the same tee time for $39!!!.

Next comment a little off topic but.. I called golfnow asking why some of the other courses in my area were not listed. The customer service rep told me they have spoken to these courses and the "courses" had no interest?!! I play some of these courses and they are empty as can be yet won't post tee times on golfnow? In this economy I would think courses would jump at chance for some more players.

Golfnow is great! The do offer full refunds for course closures, but i dont think rain. I received a full refund when a course i booked at froze over a few weeks back and they didnt open. i dont know about if its just rain. you pay only tax and online fees to golfnow i belive, because you pay most the green fee to the golf shop so i doubt they will refund their fees to you...

I use golfnow.com when I'm traveling solo. As mentioned, most of the courses will take a single by reservation on golfnow that won't take one over the telephone. In addition, the discounts can be significant. I'm currently on a trip to San Diego and have found a lot of course selection here. I also use golfnow when I'm in Orlando. The only issue I've ever experienced is that sometimes the course might not yet have an email from golfnow with your booking if you make the tee time within an hour or two (which I quite frequently do since I'm never completely sure of my schedule). As soon as I mention that it's a golfnow booking though, the pro checks the course's email account, finds the confirmation email, and I'm golden.

In regards to the lack of availability in Myrtle Beach, there's a website there that performs an equivalent service and was in place before golfnow came along: it's teeuptomorrow.com. I think that teeuptomorrow probably is part of the group that controls Myrtle Beach marketing efforts because it appears that most of the tee times (which are generally bookable no more than 48 hours in advance) are offered at prices similar to the prices you might get through a packager. The courses may have agreed not to extend times to golfnow as a result. Golfnow may have had an effect, though. When I discovered the site in November 2009, I had to pay a $40 annual fee to get access to the tee times. When I tried to pay my renewal fee in November 2010, I noticed that they were no longer asking for an annual fee. One other difference with golfnow is that there are not many courses that will allow a booking of less than two golfers at teeuptomorrow.

You can not sign up for a tee time on line and then pay when you get there. They have a small charge that is included in the price. It is a great service, and has saved me some serious bones when I am looking for tee times at the more costly courses.
I have done this a few times actually. I have paid for taxes and the GolfNow charge online which was around 7 bucks and then paid the remainder of the $25 green fee at the course ($18).

That is how 90% of the tee times are sold.

You pay the fee to the Vendor (Golfnow.com) and then the greens fee at the course.

BUT!!! Each course that golfnow.com handles, gives golfnow.com (1) tee time each day to sell for whatever rate they want and they can keep the full $$. Those are the only tee times you will pay for in full online. PERIOD!

I know, I deal with GN every day and have been to thier offices a couple of times.

I love it for the convenience, and if you are flexible about where you play, some of the deals are great, especially the day before. But I've experienced two problems. One is that I haven't been able to use any free rounds ... it seems to work kind of like airline frequent flier miles with no seats available .... if there is a trick to this, somebody please write about this on here. The other thing to be aware of is, sometimes golfnow.com does not discount the course rates at all, and once you pay the small extra booking fee, you actually are paying more than rack rate. You just need to know the going rate, that is all, like buying anything else that is supposed to be "on sale".

I love GolfNow. Wouldn't know about the rainouts...hasn't happened to me yet. Great if you're a single, because most places won't take times for one player. Free rounds after 5 bookings, then after every 10. I have managed to score almost 10 free rounds.
They don't do this anymore. I received my first free round after 5 bookings, and then never another one. The points system is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. I've been booking on GolfNow for the last 2.5 years (at least twice a week), and still haven't accumulated enough points to play anywhere for free.

That said.....I wouldn't book anywhere else, the savings is enough to keep me coming back. If you use GolfNow you'll need to log on frequently, at least 2 times per day, if you want to find the great deals. Every once in a while GolfNow will throw in a "pre-paid", prime time, tee slot for an amazing deal, sometimes 50-60% off. But you gotta be a hunter to find'em!

Whats the deal with like ZERO (actual 7) Myrtle Beach courses on there? I was going to check there and book, rather than buy a package or call all the courses.
