If you go Clicgear, hold out for the V3.0 which is do out in a few weeks. It has some minor improvements over the V2.0. Although the 2.0 is an excellent cart and you can get a used one for a good price, I'm sure.

The Sun Mountain is also excellent. Check the specs on the two carts and see what fits for you the best. The Clicgear folds smaller but is slightly heavier, I believe. Having said that, my son got his Clicgear 2.0 when he was 11 and handles it just fine. Definitely go with the airless tires if you are picking a cart. Very few people prefer tires with air over the airless.

There are also a multitude of threads on this very subject and these two particular products, so do a search and you'll get tons of information before everyone can respond.

Beware the responses of "I have this and it's the best." They're a dime a dozen. All these products are very good- you just have to find the one that fits your needs and your equipment.

sun mountain is much easier to fold up than clicgear imo
so sun mountain v2 is my pick

I've got the clicgear ans felt the same way. Never did it the same way twice and it was always pretty awkward. Then I was at the Seattle Golf Show last week and watched the guy in the clicgear both demo how to open and close the unit. Now it takes me about 10 sec. if that. Should have watched the video that came with it.

I have a SunMountain V1 b/c my previous SM broke (not my fault, it's my story and, I'm sticking to it) while still under warranty and, they replaced it. I was going to buy a CADIE ULTIMAXX U-4GT only b/c it has airless rubber tires and a ten year warranty. You might want to check it out at www.oneworldgolf.com . It's also cheaper than a SunMountain.

Folding the clicgear the first time is like rocket science...especially if you didn't watch the dvd. Once you get the hang of it, it's really easy.

I've had a Bag Boy for about 5 years and works great, folds nice. Seem to compare with Sun Mountains with guys I play with.

I'd at least take a look.

I have the sun mountain and the guy i play with daily has the clic gear, there isn't much in it but the clic gear seams better quality, my SM Came with a slow puncture, the pump is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard, the 2 brackets that attach the bottom brackets have broke and 1 of the bag rest studs has fallen off, nothing major i know but the clic gear is older and has nothing wrong with it and IMO looks better.......Steve

I have the Sun Mountain V1 and love it. However, it could use some refinements. The pencil holder never hold the pencil, tires slowly go down every few days...I play on a hill course that can be a little bumpy walking to the fairway and the clamps didn't do a great job...lost the umbrella holder the first time out. Differences in air pressure give it a steering bias. All that said, I love it. Make walking a total breeze. I'm going to look for a wide airless tire to replace the ones currently on it and I think it will be a keeper for a long time.

New Sun Mountain carts have foam tires, so you don't worry about having to pump up tires (unless you buy used).

I've had the V1 and now, the V2 and like them quite well. The V2 doesn't quite fold down as small as the V1, which doesn't fold down as small as the Clic, but my V2 fits in my xD perfectly so that's all that matters to me. :)

I liked the handle/drink holder/compartment on the V2 slightly better than the one on the Clic, and I like the heavier build of the V2, but again, that's just personal preference. You'll do fine with any of brands mentioned here.

Bettinardi mid-shank putter

I bought the Clic Gear because of how small it folds. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and needed something that wouldn't take up too much space in my closet. The Clic Gear is great quality, and I love using it on the course. But as others have said before, you can't go wrong with the Sun Mountain.

I purchased a bagboy express 240 last year, and really enjoy it's ease of pushing, setup, unfolding, and accessories. It has an umbrella holder that works fine, a hand brake, rubber grips that are more durable than foam(my previous bagboy model had foam, and it ripped), the score card holder has a place for a pencil, 2 balls, ball markers, and tees. There's a magnet compartment. On rainy days, keep the scorecard inside that. It also folds to a reasonably manageable size, but then I have a mini-van.
Well constructed too. Purchased it on ebay.

BagBoy gets my vote. I have the automatic and couldn't be happier. Bought the 4 wheel ClicGear cart when it first came out last year and had to tale it back. Broke the main connection piece the first time out. Guy at Golf Galaxy said it was third return so far for the same reason.

There was a 4-wheel Clicgear cart that came out last year? Don't think so...

Depends on what your needs are. Have owned both and here are my thoughts on each.

Sun Mountain Pros: Lightweight, rolls better, simpler to open/close, more neutral look.

Sun Mountain Cons: High center of gravity (tips easier but not a huge issue), takes up more trunk space, needs slight adjustments more often (in my experience).

ClicGear Pros: Built like a tank, low center of gravity (never tips), sportier look, takes up less space.

ClicGear Cons: A little more rolling resistance (good on hilly courses/bad on flat courses), folding mechanism is a little tricky and can take your fingers off if not carefull.

Summary: I prefer my current ClicGear, but it would be the ultimate cart if the wheels rolled as nice as the SM.
